Maintenance started earlier?

Frontpage say maintenance starts at 9 BST.

Start: Wednesday, June 18th at approx. 09:00am BST

I tried to login around 8 BST for morning buff but that is not possible. I don't think it is unreasonable that I expect to be able to login 1 whole hour BEFORE the maintenance.

I managed to get in eventually by typing the direct link instead of using the "Play" button which was redirecting me at the maintenance screen. Oh well, better late than never.

What a ridiculous time for maintenance, effectively a day of the event lost...

it all worked ok here, went off around 9:10 (uk time) But yeh i agree, why couldnt they just do the maintenance at the normal time for this one. Yeh its to fix a couple of bugs but its not like the big mess they made when the event started.

Really not sure why they didn't wait a day and do everything during normal maintenance.

We've lived with the bugs (oops, 'features' as the developers likely call them) for a week, so a day longer wouldn't impact too harshly and the footieballs in adv loot part is apparently back-dated to the start of event.

most likely the issues need tech time and cant be done at same time/parallel with regular maintenance

doubt they will sit in the office and work out how they can annoy us with maintenance and plan it in the most inopportune way

and then go and compensate us all for the great laugh they had in the office, reading the forums :P
