View Full Version : server problems
Seems to be some server problems atm.
Not only lag (on adventures and in production/buff making) confirmed by several guild mates, but also some pages are not reachable here in forum.
I tried to open the guide Sons of the Veld [2 Player/8 Days/33440XP] (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/16332-Killste-Collected-Adventure-Guides-by-Various-Authors?p=189546&viewfull=1#post189546) on page 17 (forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/16332-Guide-Killste-Collected-Adventure-Guides-by-Various-Authors/page17) in Killste's thread..
I had that same problem last time I updated the SotV guide.
Couldn't access the recently updated guide until trying it from another computer.
In the end I did manage to open the page from the original computer by pressing Ctrl-F5 though.
I've tried from several computers and used the forced page refresh (Ctrl+F5), but nothing works here. Same problems for my guild mates..
I have some issue at the same kind - now returning to your city view while in adventure is quit difficult....waiting for loading screen for a minute or so already twice, and I have to refresh the to be able to see my city, but even than loading time is enormous
This would be an excellent time to start an own thread and post your guides (SotV first.. *hint**hint*) there, Tage.. =)
Tage, did you upload some new pictures?
I've noticed a russian data collector sometimes locks my laptop's Mozilla Firefox when trying to open a garrison picture (posted at prntscr.com) in corona88's guides..
Are you able to reach your SotV guide now?
This is currently being investigated. Thank you for bringing it up!

That is about to happen... :)
But I will not repost them, the posts of Killste's thread will all be transferred to the new thread (except Killste's OP).

I only relinked to the loot picture which is also posted elsehwere on this forum.

Not at the moment, but I could access page 17 some 15 minutes ago...
I do have the SotV guide saved, just in case. ;)
just my luck to be playing this adventure
got the page up a couple of times
but will have to hibernate/sleep if i get the page back
dare not switch off the computer
like to give a big shout out to tage and all those others who have spent time and effort in making these adventure guides :-)

Perhaps an extra " somewhere in your post (like Killste's link to the Modified Sons of the Little Tailor)?
(Shouldn't be such a problem, but obviously there's something messing it up..)
Edit again.. Now I can get to your SotV-guide.. =)

Amongst other things, I already tried moving the post to it's own thread, just to make the guide available to all again.
Unfortunately this didn't seem to help, so moved it back in again for now.
Ehr...
Weird thing is that I tried to access it again just now, and it seems to work normally again. (both the link to page 17 as the direct link to the guide)
Is it "fixed" for others as well?
For the time being I reposted SotV on the last page of Killste's guide.
However, now it seems to take forever to access that last page as well...
I wonder if the guide is too long...
I did experience similar problems earlier with VtV and DB, which was the reason I split them up into more than one post.
Could that be the reason, Ravel?

Actually, the length of the Killste's thread has been worrying me for a while, it must be getting very unwieldy to maintain, plus a doubt the system was designed with something this vast in mind.
It's now full of stuff that is no longer (or in some cases "never was") relevant.
I know this will be a big job for somebody, but perhaps now we should be thinking of the authors all maintaining their own guide collections under their own name, then something similar like Killste started, but a read only post linking to the most relevant guides of the moment?

Did not see that error before while posting a thread.
It's possible that the forum logged you out while you were writing and that's why you got it.
Were you able to post eventually?
