Bandit camp does not disappear when leader camp is defeated

Hi
just experience (see title) while playing Sons of the Veld
camp 11 defeated but camp 9 did not disappear (eventually defeated at a cost )
i'm sure i have read this before
need some advice on course of action
do not wish to cancel adventure but i am already playing above my resources
i have 5 days left to play
but will have no idea if this incident is a one off
until i attack another leader camp
should i continue with caution ????
or cut my losses and lick my wounds'

Sometimes there are many leaders in each zone that need to be defeated. The adventure doesn't have great loot so cancelling will still reward you the xp for all the camps defeated so far. Its better to have a well prepared army in advance before doing adventures with such high losses. Lots of extra weapons, brew, settlers in star menu are recommended.

the reason i decided to play this adventure was for the amount of event collectibles :-)

update on my "problem"
I indeed did make an error took out leader camp 16 (different sector) when i should have taken out leader camp 17 (same sector)
which would have cleared the sector after defeating camp 11 (see guide!)
I think i need an extended break from playing !
