Can you only ever have 10? or is it only 10 at one time?

Total you can ever purchase is the 10 maximum, even if previously purchased ones have depleted.

Yes, currently is max. of ten mines in total, so after these ten the counter will say 0x left. However, the max. before this was 5 in total, and not long ago they increased it to ten, so in the future BB could change it again if they feel like it ;-)

yeah so keep some spare gems in the bank they may raise it again at some point ;)
