We need something that will destroy all the value lvl 50 players have laying around.
Therefore I suggest your home island can be attacked by a dragon, he will destroy 1 building every n hours and you will have to defeat him using a huge number of ::R::, but also ::C::& ::E::.
When you do, you get the status of "dragonslayer" and your prestige rises with the number of dragons you have slain.
There's a small chance a slain dragon leaves behind an egg, that will hatch into a small dragon. This dragon can be sent with your generals and he will grow and learn with every battle...
Eventually this dragon will become quiet powerful and will be a big advantage on the battlefield.
Suggestions?

he will destroy 1 building every n hours thats too much of a loss for a player, as for the penelty how about that 6 random buildings dont work.
"The workers have run away in fear of the dragon!!" and after 8h diffrent 6 buildings are stoped.
but the dragon it self is not a bad suggestion he could take the space where the golem was.
as for the egg and the small dragon. he can be a new combat buff/specialist you use him on a enemy camp and he would kill 50 random units and after that he needs 2 rest 24h

What's the worst that could happen? Destruction of the barracks or prov house? Perhaps those building should only be reduced one level?

Made that suggestion about a year ago after BB made a pretty awful first attempt at a crisis quest. The next crisis quest was SLIGHTLY better balanced, but essentially identical and didn't really take any of the feedback many players had made into consideration.

I'm not surprised there hasn't been a crisis quest since...

There are loads of good ideas like this floating around, which wouldn't be hard to implement - they've only just fixed the BUG which caused buildings to stop production for 24 hours!
