View Full Version : messages turn orange before deleting. Are you kidding?

I just discovered the most useless mail-feature in the game. When there is 0.4 hour left (yes, 0.4 hours aka 24 minutes) until deletion, battlereports turn orange.

Yes you read it allright, when there is less then 24 minutes left until a battle-report gets auto-deleted, it turns from white into orange.

So there must have been a staff meeting with the developers. Lets say on mondaymorning, they gather around a table with a pot of coffee (and to keep global 1 happy: with cake too). They discuss ongoing projects and what they might do this week. ANd then someone says "well I think it's really important to warn people a battle report that has been in the mail for almost 30 days and is most likely somewhere on page 10+ does not get deleted without people being aware. I feel there must be a warning!".
And where the proper reaction should have been to take his temperature, and in case he's suffering from fever send him home and otherwise fire him, the other developers agreed that indeed it would be a nifty and much needed feature. It should be implemented immediatly! Put aside the 5 minute job to increase the 25-limit in the barracks, forget about stacking stuff in the inventory. Drop everything and make sure messages dont fade out without a final warning.

Indeed. And do not add a simple reply button. That would be like taken it out of context..

Lovely, most useful feature. So much better than replacing missing generals, un-breaking the 15 adventures nerfed as Devs struggle to understand the different types of flag (global and local btw), and of course that notoriously difficult script: "if <player> = online then <green light> = ON.

Put it in perspective guys - all the emails turn orange just before they are due to expires. So no I doubt BB coded this specifically for Battle Reports but did a general code module for all email expiry timers.

That being said the whole inbox is a total fail.
