View Full Version : Can't load the game and my friends can't visit my island
Yesterday I buffed 50 building for my friend /Zotyo33/, and then I want to go my map and continue the game, the map not loading.
Since then I can not playing because my map is not loading.
I try these:
- Delete temp & cache
- Try another internet browser
- Windows update
- Reinstall flash player.
Please help me I can not play more than one day.

Hmm sounds like you already did the things I would normally suggest. But just in case...
You could look over the things mentioned here (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/27498-HOWTO-Issues-you-can-check-and-solve-yourself) to see if you missed something, or forgot to tick (or untick) an important checkbox.
To rule out if it is a flash issue make sure that if you normally use Internet Explorer or Firefox, you try Chrome instead (or vice versa). Chrome uses its own internal flashplayer. Firefox and Internet Explorer both use the normal adobe flash player
Last thing I can think of is trying to flush your local dns cache, check step 5 in this post (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/27696-Connection-Failed?p=253583&viewfull=1#post253583) (this only works if dns is indeed the problem, and your internet provider was updated with the correct dns already)
Otherwise your only bet is to contact Support via the contact form on this page (http://www.thesettlersonline.com/en/help-and-support/) and explain to them what the problem is exactly (try to describe the screen you are staring at while you decide that the map isn't loading) and list the steps you already tried.
What happens when it doesn't load?
Is it just blue or a white screen, or do you also see message such as "server zone lockout"?
I've had 1 server be very sticky on loading recently, white background/splash screen and the loading bar hardly moves. Normally rectifies after a long wait or a couple of refreshes.
One other thing, if by chance you are logging in via Fakebook, make sure it is looking at the correct server.

I use Google Chrome and Internet explorer and I see the same thing in both cases.
Sometimes it take a while for the game to load, I have sometimes had to wait up to 10min before the island loads.
Cukor, the blue background tends to indicate a problem with Flash loading the data, not always but unlike the white screen, it shows that it has got so far into the loading process. The white one is a real pain to diagnose, as many things can cause that.
I would suggest clearing out your Flash cache (should be a flash settings icon in Control Panel), and clearing out your temp internet files etc.. won't harm.
Also check version, might even be worth using Adobe's Flash removal tool which will also get rid of any older versions that may still be hanging around and interfering, then installing a fresh version. Personally I'd recommend using Firefox, as Chrome's pepper flash seems rather buggy, and IE's vulnerabilities are of course legendary.
I wait 2 hours and nothing...
One other thing to try, right click on the screen and change the settings from hardware acceleration to software, or software to hardware, depending which is set at present.
Thanks for helping, but the problem is not my PC. I registered another char and it's working... I wrote the support...
I also have a member with the same problem. He cannot login after the last maintenance. So maybe a new bug in the game?
I hope the next maintenance solve the problem. The support team not answer my question...
Having same problem being stuck at that screen since just after maintenance. Friends also can't visit island so it's clearly a bug in game, not on my end.
After support asked for screen shots a couple days ago, haven't heard anything back so it would seem that it's either not being addressed or can't be fixed - I can only guess.
I think they're investigating, now it's weekend though so you hopefully will get a reply on Monday.
I hope the next maintenance solve the problem...
A bit late, and I hope you are already back in and playing. But here (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/27498-HOWTO-Issues-you-can-check-and-solve-yourself) is a link to a few things you can try. Usually the first couple of things resolve loading issues. You can also try logging in with a different browser to see if the problem is browser related and then a different computer.
Of course, if you are still having no luck send a ticket to support (http://www.thesettlersonline.com/en/help-and-support), letting them know everything you have tried, although I hope you will be playing again before you get to this stage.

The problem exists. I'm stuck at the 'loading map' part of game loading for 24h.
Tried on 2 PCs and 3 browsers. System, browsers, Flash - all up to date. All temp folders cleared several times. No problems on different sites. Ticketed support but only got what seems an automated response.
Meanwhile 6 lev5 gold smelters and 3 lev6 gold mines are running unbuffed. The mines, which were pretty expensive, will collapse.
I've tried all ideas mentioned in this and other relevant threads.
Does anyone know a working fix?

i can not visit you too... and support is not working on weekends...

UPDATE: its now more than 72h while I cannot access my island. No answer from support.

It'ss some problem with the server. robbomons island can be visited since the maintanance again. Same as CukorHUN reported...
The stuck "Loading map...", often with blocked visits from friends, has been reported on a number of fora worldwide for a while now. While they may well not all be connected something is definitely up and it's not all player-side.
Still worth trying the oft mentioned "Refresh, clear cache and cookies etc. etc.", if nothing else you can say you did it, but in some cases there really is something awry somewhere else.
i have problems With my map, it seems like is not loading 100% and the dos not start, my frinds in my guild cant visit my lend either, this has been ongoing for 4 day now, and support is extremly slow in this problem.

Same problem here, again, for the second time in the past month. The fact friends in game cannot enter island indicates the problem is not on my end.
Last time I sent screenshots to Support as requested but then heard nothing further. Several days later the problem only corrected itself after the following Maintenance. But, again, there was no explanation, no instruction how to avoid this in future, in short, no acknowledgement whatsoever from Support after asking for the screen shots.
This is clearly a major problem and likely tied to similar problems several months ago when the Move command was suspended. When players then complained about the length of time the Move command was not available, other players responded that it was better that way than to be locked out for a week. So here we are again - seems the problem was not fixed, and just as with Support's non-response to me 2 weeks ago, there has been no clear fix nor answer about such a major problem.

I can't load map right now... freezes on first page of getting to island. Does not get to 2nd.
I've now 2 guild members who are locked out of the game. Same problem as above. This problem must have yhe highest priority to fix. I have tried off and on now for about 8 hours. No luck. My adobe updated yesterday... maybe that is part of issue.

Len, what is odd for me is I can play on one server and not the other. Have you tried a different group/server?
edit: the reason I ask is because I now know it is PROBABLY NOT A PROBLEM ON MY END.

hmm... I just got on map for first time in several days. I guess their maintenance reset something. I hope the others also got in.
I was playing last night and moving a building around to make some space. Then nothing happened: the new spot looked as if it was about to be occupied but the building was still on its previous spot (like a garrison before transfer).
I reload the game, thinking it was a simple glitch, but have been unable to go any further than the blue screen with the tip of the day box.
I've tried 2 different computers (so it's not a matter of cache), 3 different browsers and no success.
The beauty is that my son has no problem accessing his own account from any computer...

There are a number of loading issues at the moment, FLICKA404 and Elco it sounds like what you have is this: Can't load my map (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/28824-Can-t-load-my-map) with the stuck Tip of the Day/Loading Map... rather than the stuck loading bar. (There's also the recurring White Page but that's generally player-side and more easily sorted and the recent Uplay login "hiccup". (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/29020-Cant-log-in-and-cant-even-send-in-a-report-on-it))
If that's accurate perhaps these posts could be MOD_moved to make keeping track of the different problems easier.

It seems to be the "can't load my map" issue indeed.
It's still not loading btw even though from the same computer my son can easily load his account. When we try accessing my account from his, for buffs, it goes on and on and on without loading either.
My conclusion is that it has nothing to do with whatever computer I try accessing my account, it has more to do with a BB bug/server failure.
I've submitted a ticket but I'm going to miss on the gems today (7th day logging in a row) and I fear for the 6 months/1 year countdown as well :( I'm not even talking about the resources.

I have had the same, it creates a locked zone, which can be fixed by support, or the maintenance script apparently also fixes it.

Yes, absolutely: I was moving a silo when the glitch started. I can wait to log again but yet fear for the losses...

If it helps any one of the 30 day Achievements and the longer ones for 6 months and a year are non-consecutive days, so even if you miss a few days you only miss a *few*, it doesn't reset. Still, that is a proper pain, especially the gems. :/ Here's hoping Support can lend a hand.
Iolanthe, you've been most helpful and I appreciate your morale support as I still await for Support to review my ticket.
At least my kid can play on his island and I'm passing the time on testing server but it's not the same...
Credit is due: BB has unlocked my account caused by the bug that arises when moving (too often/much) a silo and was gracious enough to grant me the goodies received when logging in, which I couldn't claim when unable to access my account. Thanks, much appreciated!

Aye, random player-sourced bits of info that don't actually fix a thing don't really cut it when one is stuck do they. But! Glad you're back and hope the island came through the break alright.

Any chance the titles [of the various loading issues threads] could be tweaked at all?
Or something. Things really are getting scattered every time someone gets stuck and it just seems it would be easier if it was a little more obvious where to look for what.
I have tried everything i could find on the forums and think of - change browser, empty cache, change PC, empty Flash cache, and the game still is not loading.

Are you guys able to load the game again? if not can you provide details till what point the game loads and how long you waited etc?

Nope, still stuck. Take a look at the screenie i attached, that is as far as the game gets. I kept it open for about an hour.
We are currently investigating this issue. Please make sure to also contact support and make them aware of your problem, offering as many details as possible.
Same here, I can even load map.
same problem it happen between i went to friends island and got back to see my l 5 fairycastle be finished but no i couldent get home ??????????????????? losing premium beans and l6 gold mines and this a problem sooooooooooooooo many people have and you just keep building new game stuff that will make it crash more
