Up to date status of "Nature's Gift" skill

When I've tested it in the past, the Nature's Gift skill to refill deposits didn't really work as advertised or very well.

Lots of old threads about it but difficult to know what's out of date. So was hoping someone could give me the lowdown on how the skill actually works now.

Was hoping for some more details :) How much? how often? Does spamming a stone search work to refill gold mines?
