MMA (still) worth getting?

I have been away for a while but before my break the MMA seemed to be one of the best generals for adventures, often outclassing the veteran general when it comes to losses. (I can't get a major general yet, so not sure how good those are)

With the upcoming changes, is it still worth getting one? I have read that first strike is being replaced by initiative, so I'm not sure what changes but I probably missed some important information aswell..

Do the changes make it just another 220 troop general or does it still retain it's usefulness?
At 7k gems it's pretty expensive so I would rather not regret purchasing it later on.

Yes, it's still worth getting. Those changes you've read will not impact the battle system in ordinary adventures, but in the PvP-related islands - where a new type of general is needed to buy and use.
As we won't get weapons from loot, I would say MoMAs will be more valuable than ever.


The most important aspect is that the battle mechanics will remain untouched as well as most enemy and player unit's attributes.
