Adventure invitation is not released

Hi,
iam starting adventure and inviting friends but they did not confirmed or rejected it. And the spot is not released yet (after 8 hours).
Anybody met this issue?

Open your Outbox in mail, this should shake loose expired invites and trades.

Odd little workaround but it works, here's hoping it's sorted better at some point.

This is the same issue as failed trades not getting returned. To trigger the release of the adventure (or the trade getting returned) either you or the recipient has to open their mailbox. At that point everything will sync again.
