I can suggest that you try clearing your browser cache or try a different browser, and you could also try clicking the support link i posted and follow the instructions to contact the support team.

That would have been due to maintenance, you can only wait until maintenance is finished.

I have contacted support and have not heard from them I have being to get on this game for 3 days and keep getting the say message

Support will answer you on the email address you provided when registering for the game.
The ticket might be in your spam or junk folder, so please check those. If all else fails, please use account.support@thesettlersonline.com as that is a direct email address for support.

The "defaultplayername" is a giveaway, we've seen this before.
Use the direct mail address in the previous post, as something has corrupted on your account details, there's a good chance the tickets may not actually be raised from the support form, or if they are, the details may not give support any clue as to your identity.
