No sound

Since today I have no sound most of the times I start the game. I have to close and restart explorer several times to have sound again.

I had this problem the last time I logged in as well. I went to the options and turned sound off and back on again and it seemed to work fine after that.

Turning sound off and on didn't work for me but I solved the same problem by playing a you-tube video which miraculously switched TSO's sound back on!

Yes thanks that works. But I dont understand why the sound is systemacally switched off each time I log in.

Same thing here, log-in, and no sound, but toggling the sound button in cogwheel menu seems to get it working. Annoying having to do that every time though.

same problem had to turn it and off. seems to happen every maintenance were they change something in the client :/

Same here, Refresh/browser restart/cache clear/PC reboot fixes the problem only about 50% of the time. Problem persists in both IE and Chrome.

I always have my sound set with "background sound" off, and "sound effects" on. For the last couple of days the sound effects have not been working right after login. In every case I've been able to fix it by toggling the "background sound" on, and back off again, then the sound effects start working. Seems to me like these two settings are affecting each other in a way they shouldn't be, so maybe some of you others could try toggling the "background sound" button to fix it.

ok, now I have the birds tweeting which I normally have turned off, but the sound off button is not working and I cannot mute it. It says it is off but it is not!
