There is a solution. Close the gaps between buildings with decorations that no need a building aerea to be placed.
Those are all flower beds. Also crates, sting posts, broken handcrafts, laterns e.t.c. See photo below.

1) deforestation - sleep all your foresters except maybe 1 or 2 once the trees have gone
