I didn't attack the first camp to the north of the landing zone until I'd cleared all the others, mainly because I didn't notice it. I couldn't then get back to it to clear it. None of my generals recognised it, either with the question mark or to attack. I had to send the genrals home, then send one back which could then attack camp 1.

I think it is your gens who are blocking the path to the camp- You would have been able to attack if you have moved away from the landing spot.
