View Full Version : Puffin Web Browser
Hey ,
Since I am going to buy a new phone soon , with new internet subscription I am curious about how much MB TSO ussualy use on the Puffin Web Browser app . Does anyone know ?
cheers
It uses 51 mb on my tablet, however on a phone the small size of the screen may prevent you from doing very much using the app
I use this on my Samsung phone, works like a dream, only things I feel are worth a mention.. I don't think blocking is advisable and the experience itself depends so much on wifi spot.
Can this game be played on Iphone?

check your app store for puffin browser, has a free trial then you need to pay for a year, its only cheap
My wife's experience with Puffin wasn't good - it ate up all her available Internet usage fast. It seems as though (since Puffin actually redirects the information from the game to their site and then images it for you) that you pay double usage - at least that's the way it seems. If you use it keep a close eye on the data usage.
there is always "dolphin" for android
I Tried the Dolphin. Installed flash. But it don't work.
Anyone know how to do it?
I used "photon" app on my ipad over Christmas it streams the site, u have to pick the right control function (grab or point etc) but it worked fine for sending out scouts setting up trades etc I wouldn't try doing adventures with it too fiddly even on ipad.

I have puffin on my phone, works fine for daily login and a bit of chat but not much else.
I have been exclusively been playing the game using Puffin on Android devices since the release of XXL, PC can't handle the update. What it can handle is highly dependent on screen size. On my Samsung Ace smartphone you can struggle to even send explorers out. On the wife's 7" hudl gameplay was so problem free that I treated myself to a new Alba 10" for Xmas, again no issues to report plus the wife is no longer demanding her turn on her tablet mid fairy tale :)
Sounds good for wi-fi, however for mobile data the app seems very hungry. Is there a way to configure either Dolphin or Puffin to somehow cache the content so it doesn't load it up all the time at startup?
Since the latest puffin update on IoS it wont remember the password (despite having the setting in) so have to log in every time, any way around this?
i had the same problem. But in the top of the screen it seems that login and password are saved as well. So i could click on login overthere to be accepted.
Maybe it will help you ease the pain ;-)
