Server slow, Cannot get past "Play Now"

I play on sandycove too and had no problems this weekend at all. Was active almost the entire weekend minus some limited sleep (since I was doing after-hours support for work). Odd that it seemed to affect many players but not all.

Wasn't this all in another post? Anyway, played all weekend and had no problems at all - nor did my wife and my friend, my friend using a different ISP so I wonder why so many had issues. We all run Google Chrome - perhaps try that or firefox? I know that IE has issues sometimes so I avoid it almost all the time. I can't think of anything else.

It seems this may be a "local" issue for UK players using broadband provisioned by BT Wholesale.

Because I work from home providing remote support for a living... I can't afford internet outages; therefore I have I have 2 internet connections:



One with PlusNet (owned by BT)
One with TalkTalk (owned by Carphone Warehouse)


I believe TalkTalk use their own dedicated internet provisioning equipment (LLU / DSLAM) in the telephone exchange - they don't rely on BT's equipment and visa-versa. For this reason; if one of my lines has a strange problem going on, the other line usually still works.

Right now, I cannot get on to the Sandy Cove server through my PlusNet line (BT) but I can access it through my TalkTalk line (using the same computer). I can reach the log-in page using either line but the the game will only actually load when connected via my TalkTalk line.

I'm afraid BT underpin the broadband services for the vast majority of ISP's (via BT Wholesale) therefore this could potentially be affecting lots of people!

If you are having trouble - post up what ISP you are using!

If you are desperate; you can always try using your smart phone's hot-spot (but don't blame me if your data charges go through the roof! :o)

Having log in issues can hit play now but it doesnt want to load the game BT user

I have reported the issue and we are investigating it.
I would help us a great deal if the player encountering the issue could PM me their internet provider as well as their network flow (press F12 and check the "network" tab: you can take a screenshot of the info in there, it will do).
