View Full Version : suggestions
i have several suggestions to prevent people from getting bored of the game.
1. increasing of lvl limit. almost every game does it overtime so y not settlers? even like 10 lvls every year would be better than forever sitting on lvl 50(reasons for this explained in the next point).
2. star coins at lvl 50. i mean seriously 1 gem package a week? even casual players can get 600 star coins a week. 900 star coins for a premium? turn on premium and recoup that in a day. apart from these 2 u probably wun buy anything else with star coins. so eventually u'll be back to where u started before star coins when u no longer get xp from adventures once u hit lvl 50 where it becomes pointless to do adventures. so instead of 1 gem package a week at 600 coins y not make it 1.5k or even 2k coins but make it unlimited. at least this will give people some motivation to farm for the coins and at the same time it will also give people who can't afford to buy gems using $$ to get gems for stuff that can't be gifted like vet and so on.
3. star coin shop: another way to make farming for star coins worthwhile is adding stuff like watermills and so on. maybe 1 or 2 per mth. that way it would be easier for people to get them instead of saving like a mth through 200 gems a week to get 1 watermill.
4. new stuff: u think u're adding new stuff but in truth u're only improving on wat u already have. the core of the game still remains the same and eventually people will get bored of it. increase the lvl limit while adding new stuff like new buildings resources and so on. give people something new to do
P.S: feel free to comment on my points or add on to them. this is wat i think and i know not everyone will agree with them.

whilst the game is FTP, BB need to earn revenue from it, and by giving lots of gem items away for star coins as you are suggesting is merely going to reduce that revenue. No revenue = no game :(
To keep players interested, I have already suggested more crisis quests; or others have already mentioned new adventures that are more taxing than the most recent Scenarios or Easter adventures.
Why not add more FT adventures, or just larger maps? Make the loots more interesting than they currently are as well, and most certainly up the drop rates of the follow on advs.
The game appears to be getting stale because all recent new content other than the "optional" PVP has been aimed at the newer players rather than the veterans, and in due course holds minimal interest.
then how do u keep all the lvl 50s interested in the game? because as i already explained once u hit lvl 50 there's nothing left to do anymore. new adventures is not a bad idea but eventually people will still start to get bored of doing the same thing. plus we already have so many adventures that some of them are already redundant. example if u're lvl 50 would u still do adventures like horseback or dark priests? only adventures u'll probably be doing are FT adventures and black knights(unlimited if u have rarity provision house since u can make map fragments).
as for the star coin thing, i understand where u're coming from with regards to revenue and i'm not asking them to give away anything. it's about balancing it out making it available to people who can't afford to buy gems but at the same time not making it too easy for people who can afford gems. say a watermill is 10k star coins. if u could afford gems would u buy a watermill with a few clicks with $$ or would u take the time to farm 10k star coins? i'm sure most people who can afford to buy gems will take the easy way out. at least i would especially if i'm a new player. it's about striking a balance between people who can afford to buy gems and people who can't afford to. otherwise the game is no different from a P2P game.
these like many other suggestions are just ways of making the game easier. for once bb has got something right. if it gets easy it gets boring, been there done that and lost interest in some gr8 games over the years
I'm not quite level 50 yet, my wife Diwata is but she's not loaded up with enough goodies yet (fairy-tale castle, etc.) so there is still plenty to do. However, I can see that there can be a point where their won't be as much incentive anymore.
It's been mentioned in other posts that more possible levels could be an option, but that might be quite a re-engineering because I would think you would need to introduce more building levels as well. I think that more adventures would be helpful - especially if there were varying epic-level adventures. What I mean by varying epic is that 1) It would take a massive amount of troops to complete and 2) The enemy camps would change location and strengths each time you started a new one. The experienced players could then work with strategy/blocks without the benefit of a guide and would have to re-think things each time. Would be quite a challenge.
The code to randomly place enemy camps within sectors would be manageable I would think - start with the collectible algorithm that prevents them all being clustered in the same location, expand that to locate the sector leader 'away' from the edge of the sector (that would be too easy to defeat if he was on the leading edge) and there ya go! Would give the most experienced player some thinking work I expect.

it's not about making the game easier. it's about constantly adding new stuff to keep people interested in the game. true if it gets too easy it becomes boring. but wouldn't u get bored too if u were doing the same thing everyday? wat else u gonna do once u hit 50 besides doing adventures?

more adventures is ptless because there's already so many adventures in the game and most of them becomes redundant at high lvls. only adventures i see being done nowadays is mostly DB and BK. would u even bother doing dark priests if u were already lvl 50? instead of having more adventures they should be constantly revamping existing adventures in such a way that people wun keep doing the same few adventures. this is where the lvl increase and adding of new resources comes into play.

@ Phasing - you asked for comments on your ideas, and there are plenty of other comments, but you have criticised nearly all of them because they do not meet your ideals of how the game should be.
I have been level 50 for coming up 2 years and yes the game does get stale sometimes. Its only the waiting between events that causes this imo, but tbh in the summer I have other RL things to do.
I hope BB look at this and take ideas from everybody, not just yours...
what about more adventures for level 50 players then ;)

I agree with your suggestions Jolly, some of us would love new real adventures (not buff n click scenarios) more FT would be awesome!
A mini event once a month would be cool too to keep up interest. Not sure what a crisis quest is as there hasn't been one since i started the game - would love to give it a go though.
Id like to see the level limit raised, Iv wanted to see this for along time. I cant see it ever happening thou unfortunately.
everything else you suggest I'm against I'm afraid, There is a decent balance of free gems coming into the game I think, and its far easier than it use to be to gain licence free buildings/gem based gear.
As for content, new content would always be a +1, new adventures with new unique resources/building/reasons to play them, As for more fairy tales, wouldn't half the population skip them due to same old shop items? unless new stuff arrives there too? would be nice. not gonna hold me breath thou

i'm not criticizing anything. i'm just voicing my opinions in response to replies.
quite happy with the latest changes though... writing the right amount of troops in the window of a gen is a good improvement, time saving... ty
as well as blowing up rocks and mountains... BUT ... why limit the amount of shotfirers and demolition crews we can buy?
because what you can blow up is already limited anyway... how do I get a chance to finish blowing up everything possible in my island then?

It didn't make any sense to me either. It's gems for them (therefore $) so why limit us - can't figure the logic on that one...
