Some people get voucher codes - I don't - any idea why they get them and I don't?
I log in via Facebook - is that anything to do with it?

If said email is going out to every player, it may take a while for it to reach all players. If you really want to contact someone about it, Support are the people.

if loggin on via Facebook, check the mailadress that's attached to it.

BB prob just started sending today and it wil take some time to get to all players (if it was meant for all players to begin with)

Go to settlers homepage, click on profile. click on the news letter drop down and sign up for it. They email them out.

Seems not everyone has them yet.
I have been registered since day 1, have received them in the past but nothing yet (so far).
And yes I have checked my newsletter settings and its still ticked.

This was true for me. I signed up with Facebook, and it looks like you are not automatically signed up for the newsletter.

I'm confused - what email? The "event" started sometime ago, and I already was set up to receive the newsletter (which I don't think I ever have received anything anyway). Is there supposed to be a recent email?

Struggling to remember..... it seems I do remember this, when the event started. Don't remember it being an email though, and I can find no such record on my computer (I keep my deleted items a long time). Seems to me it came in game...

Why it would it just be going out now when the event started on the 30th of June?

Now totally confused :confused:

I had nothing - and I now enabled the newsletter- still nothing.

I guess again when something ends up being a little awkward and messy they sent us a gift. Very sweet - thanks for that- if I ever receive it :p
Ending up being even more awkward if only some players get it :p

In this case, that's probably true, since Gugee's code isn't the same as mine.

But with that said, several times in the past, codes have been one use only, PER ACCOUNT. Meaning, people were posting codes here to help others, and that worked.

Ha, so how are we meant to share exactly? I got a mail, BB doesn't let us trade gems anymore, if it did? 5 gems to each guild member? :/

Even harder to share 5 buffs between 30 guildies.

I like this game. I did plan to stay around for some time, but the dudes running it is starting to get on my nerves. If you want me to keep spending money on gems start running it a bit more professional, this is more and more like a big bad joke. - Just like the summer/event/ special whatever thing.

BB_Ravel I assume;


You are just as frustrated as us the customers (paying and free to play alike).
You have expressed concern at the way this has been managed and suggested that a script be run to identify those that have received a personal use code, those that haven't and suggested that a voucher code be sent to all those that haven't received one.
Those in BB_Towers laughed at your suggestion and balked at the thought they may have customers that deserved to be treated fairly.
You are embarrassed that consistency hasn't been applied but that your hands are tied so you can not show your frustration.
That as an employee you recognise the need to bow to pressure from above and not vent your true feelings on this matter.
That even if you did publicly express your true feelings on this matter, it wouldn't have any impact and you would be quickly deleted.



BB_Ravel, you have my sympathy.

I am angry, sad and disappointed because I have not received mail with a voucher code . And many with me , I think .
I think it's unfair as BB addressing them .

BB does not stick to its own rules for the game :

" Matches of any kind should always be approved by the admins to prevent any malpractice or unfair profits at the expense of other players ."

" Discrimination against groups or others will not be tolerated here, and will be punished immediately ."

BB, the right way to solve this, is to send it all who didn't get it in the first round, and you know that. Telling us who got it, to share the gifts - that's your solution?

No wonder some are quite angry right now.

My mail is active, I am active in game, but I never got any mail with codes or presents except for the BB's gifts in game. So for me this is not true, just a joke ?

Absolutely agree.... You can't "share" gems, and even if you could would you? Not likely.

If it was a bug in the mailing system, BB should at least try to even the situation out. They messed up, so why should some players gain unfair advantage over others because of their mistake?

I assume the gift is recompense for a non summer event. 5 rabbit charms, 5 training overtime and 500 gems. Or it could be a Thank you for the loyal player base? A lot of older players I know have received the gift but newer players haven't. Everyone who has received the gift was an active player too.

States that "In the upcoming weeks you’ll be given a one-time chance to swap your event resources for tokens...", but sent out halfway through the event that no longer has weeks left to run.

Supposed to be for inactive players only... and many active players have received it by mistake... and it seems like a good portion of players that could really use the gems to actually participate in the event have not received the mail, nor were ever intended to.

Is there anything about this newsletter that BlueByte managed to get right? ;)

I have been playing for well over a year now and haven't received this email, it is really unfair that some players have received this and others haven't.

I saw the email and ignored it - it said 'you haven't been online for a while' and I'm on every day, so figured it was a marketing mistake. I also always seem to get the .net codes instead of .com despite changing my region to UK umpteen times in my ubisoft profile, so figured it was for the wrong server again, but that's a different issue...
Glad I came on to check the forums, or I'd have overlooked the code completely, but not sure how I share out 10 buffs and 500 gems amongst my friends / guild, especially as there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to who received the code and who didn't...!

My wife and I both got in-game mail with the bonuses the first day of the event.
My friend (who I see every week and who plays every day without fail) did not get anything - in-game or otherwise. And he wouldn't miss such a thing, I'm sure.

Totally messed up it appears

There is nothing unfair about it. The email was supposed to be for those that had not logged in for some time in an attempt to encourage them to play again.
It was not supposed to be sent to people that were already playing regularly, so you haven't missed out on anything.

But the fact is: many people who were playing regularly were awarded the gift.
Not sure about the stats, but in my guild out of the regular players it was about 50/50. The ones who recieved the gift were happy they got a bonus when they weren't meant to, the ones who didn't were unhappy that they missed out.

This is a major stuff up, and should be rectified. How hard could it be to just grant everyone the same gift?

Next time they want to send out gifts to those who don't play often in an attempt to draw them back (which I am not opposed to), they should at least get it right.

PS: Apologies about the support message, I wasn't aware you couldn't post them.

Well it became unfair the second it was sent to players who was not inactive. The only way to fix that mistake, is to sent it to all, not to suggest that we share what cannot be shared.
