When I go on vacation  I will not be able to log on to play for about 3 weeks.
What will happen to my island etc etc while I am away  ?

After you have been logged out for 24hrs your island will pause and sit there doing nothing until you come back.

My understanding is that gem pits cease too.

A friend visiting will wake your isle up.
I suggest that items you are low in stock on you leave their chain running and have friends visit to buff them while you are away. They can also place deposits for you and keep those buffed.
OR
Just put everything to sleep.

My understanding is if you have a long running prem that will still keep going

My settlers dont work when I go for holidays!

Hi,
I have noticed that my settlers dont work as only I go for holidays eg. 1 week or more.
Its not like that if dont control them for day or two. Then all mines and other resources are completely depleted.
But only if I go for holidays they stop to work and after my return state of the island is like just after my last login.

Does anyone experienced similar situation ?

Island sleeps if you don't log in for between 24-36 hours. To keep things ticking over you need to arrange for a friend to drop one buff on you every day.
