View Full Version : Guilds
Members in guilds stays on forever and that feels bad.
What if a guild member that havent played for 8-10 weeks would be kicked out off guild?
Many guild would be much smaller but all guild would be alive and they can always ask to be admitted again
The decision to keep long term inactive players is made by the guild leadership. Long term inactives do not have any effect on the guild quests and are not even counted in the calculation for how many active members needed to complete it. The only problem they can cause is taking up slots for potential new members. If the leadership is not freeing up slots for new members then they are not doing their job and I for one would start looking for a better lead guild.

They do have an effect on the amount of rewards the quest gives.
The amount of guild coins that are issued as a reward, depends on the size of the (entire) guild and the player's level
The reward is split in two parts. You receive the first part when completing your own personal Guild Quest. The second part is rewarded when the main Guild Quest is completed (80% of the active members completing their personal Guild Quest)

Yup, we only have about 12-14 actives each quest (except during events) and still get 17+119.
It is a good idea to keep inactives until spaces needed for new recruits.
this is exactly why they should be automatly kicked out
this is exactly why they should be automatly kicked out
no auto kick would ruïne guilds, like what if someone had an accident or got sick, what if a member is on vacation, or is busy with school and made a agreement with the leader...???
a guild is lead by 1 person, that 1 person decides what to do and what the guild is like...
if he doesnt handle those things in guild its his problem... and if you dont like it you can search a new/better one.
so -1 to this idea

We need a better reason why after 24 hours the game kicks you out of a guild than you just stating thats the way you want it.
24 hours?
i think 100 days or something

Just curious but how would this add to your game play ?

24 hours because thats how long before you are shown as being inactive in the members tab.

That's not the only time frame about inactivity..
WAYS TO CHANGE GUILD LEADER
...
2.) After a certain period of inactivity, the leadership is passed on to the person of the next rank/priority in the guild. This period is 15 days.
Though, I think changes suggested by OP are rather blunt solutions to issues better solved in other ways..
Like..
Add filter and search options in the list of guilds.
Only count active members when setting up to give and reward GQ.
Then there would be less reasons to keep inactive players in a guild.
24 hours is way too short. It's not fair to expect a player to log in every single day without fail. Life doesn't work that way, things happen. Some people can't play that often for many reasons.

No one is suggestion that you're replying to.

Wish they gave guild leaders the tools to see the progress on the guild members and see who's been active or not. Then it's for guild leaders and officers to decide what to do with it. Atm we are at the maximum of members, and there's no way we can export or have any data at all. The current information is not enough to build cases on, and the member GQ status is not exportable.
Make it better to monitor or remove the member cap, so it becomes less important who's active or not
In our guild anyone who fails to complete GQ on two successive occasions is demoted to part-time player. If you are on the part-timer list for 21 consecutive days without contacting a guild officer with an explanation ( illness/holiday etc) you are booted. When we boot we sand a mail with a copy of our guild rules and say that if there was a genuine reason for not being active for 21 days to get in touch and let us know and we will re-consider.
