Just installed steam and settlers the game a few days back and everything was great . Today I get this error when i open Steam, load Settlers online and click the "Play Now" button.
After a couple of seconds, i get a windows pop up saying nw.exe has failed. Restarted my laptop twice but no change.
Any thoughts guys?
Just now the game is down for weekly maintenance, with some possible logging hiccups after. Not certain if "Login procedure maintenance" applies to Steam or only to browser access:

Edit: The quoted portion is a straight copy/paste of the homepage, I've no idea where "Work work" came from but it's funny so it remains. :D
Completely Unimportant (but niggly) Edit II: The things one realises after going to bed.

"Work work" is his mouseover text on the homepage.

ok cool, i guess i'll try again later. thank you very much for the information.
If you continue to get similar problems (or if anyone else does)
As NW.exe is a part of Steam (I would guess it is a NetWork adapter of sorts) it is not really something that TSO controls.
I would suggest googling "nw.exe steam" and having a quick read of some discussion boards there.
It seems people have problems with nw.exe in quite a few games and there are some listed troubleshooting guides and possible remedy steps.
There was a thread suggesting to try accessing the game directly through navigating folders... (guesswork e.g. C:/Steam/steamapps/tso/tso.exe) and to try running nw.exe by navigating directly to it too
Unfortunately I cannot post outside links in this forum.
As always, if you follow advice from any page you find, be careful and do not download and run anything without virus scanning first.
Good luck anyway.
