Geologists can not find any resources in my zone

I have 10 iron mines, 3 copper mines, 3 stone quarries, 6 marble quarries empty on my land - I have sent my geologists out numerous times for each resource and all they have found was 2 marble quarries this morning - all the rest of the time they return finding nothing despite the resources being empty.

Your geologist did not find a XXXX deposit in your claimed sectors

I have had this previously but not for a long time
