A player was asking on g-1 today for the option to be able to delete troops he had over-produced. Yes, he could start an adventure, kill the excess, cancel the adventure for a bit of xp etc but that is a lot of fuss to lose say 200 bowmen. What he was after was just to be able to click on a troop type, select how many to auto-kill and job done. I can see strengths and weaknesses to the idea, such as players deleting in error, but a slider system ought to remove that problem. Thoughts??

Agreed. New players, that have limited population, can also benefit from this. This feature can also give the opportunity to organize troops better and help complete adventure faster.

As you say the issue is deleting troops by mistake, and I think that would cause more of an issue than that of a normal kill during an adventure. Afterall, if in a guild, lootspots are usually offered for free, and that is yet another way to "kill off" unwanted troops.

Yes but a player shouldn't always rely on others. For the issue of deleting troops by mistake, a simple message of confirmation should fix it.

Totally against this. Sending them on an adventure at least allows you to get something back from making the mistake in the first place, pick the right adventure/lootspot and the rewards can be far more than the original investment to make the troops in the first place. In asking for a deletion function you may as ask for BB to charge gems for it starting at 10 per recruit.
