View Full Version : Windows 10
Hello,
Dont know if there is already a post about this issue.
I bought a new pc with windows 8.1 installed and upgraded it to windows 10.
I cant play settlers anymore, if i get in, there is only 'global' and 'whisper' wich keep resetting over and over.
I keep losing connection and i cant build because building cue is full but there is no building going on.
My wife plays another game and there are no problems there with connection.
Anyone any tips on how to solve this?
Thanks in advance and greetsz,Diadal

Use Chrome browser
Yup - go with Chrome, see how that works.
Thanks, but already tried Chrome, same problems.
When im loosing connection and being reconnected there is a prompt to select an avatar. Ive been playing for a year now, so i do have an avatar for a long time.
There's always Firefox to try too. But if you just upgraded make sure you have the latest version of Flash installed too. They keep changing that all the time...
no pb with windows 10, for 8 months now. im using them from the beta stage. the only problem is with edge browser and zoom in-out with mouse wheel
I had the same problems when I upgraded to Windows 10. The actual culprit was my AVG anti virus programme, it was checking every move I was making.
Double check your settings it may be the same.
Thanks for the reactions, looks like the problem is solved. I reinstalled XFast LAN V9.05 and after restart windows performed some upgrades and so far so good.
Hopefully it stays this way, I know this game is there to kill time, but waiting 5 min to unload or load gen isn't that funny.
Anyone having the same problems could give it a try.
Have fun playing this game at a decent speed, Diadal

I had the zoom problem and resolved it :)
So as it turns out I stumbled upon a fix, in settings>devices>mouse and touch pad>scroll inactive windows when I hover over them switch is defaulted on. I switched it off, rebooted and then switched it back on and the scrolling issue in Edge was resolved. That is from http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_internet-insider_spartan/mouse-scroll-wheel-not-working-in-edge/33cc1248-9f7b-49f0-9d5d-910e104063e6?auth=1
