View Full Version : Not all who play are capable of playing like the rest
My only wish for this christmas is a little add to the "collect all" system. As I became one-eyed quite recently I find it impossible to find all collectables on my map and looking for them puts a lot of pressure on my remaining eye. After all these "items" are truly important during the events and it's a huge drawback to be unable to do it alone. To be honest asking friends and guild to help you gets very uncomfortable after the first couple of times... so I propose some kind of system that puts a mark on every "collie" on the map like this: if the time between changing the collectables is 20 hours and there are 20 collectables make 1 collie marked (in blue like when friends do it) each hour. When the collectables are more than 20 just reduce the time between the tags.
It's simple but it will be a true relief to be able to log in at the end of the day and get all these without struggling for it so hard. (staring in the pc is not a good idea especialy when you got bad eyesight or 50% sight) ^.#
Fairy Fire for 9 gems does exactly what you are asking for
after using it 7 times im 63 gems behind so my weekly reward will be 37 gems? Not worth. And this is only if i use it one per day and there are 2 rotations as far as i know so what we do in this case? Final score is -26 gems per week.

You can do the same.
ITS A GAME AFTER ALL WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
SO instead supporting me in something that is good for EVERYONE each one of you decided to oppose my proposal? SERIOUSLY? Im sorry to say it but grinding stuff in this game have seriously affected your ability of making rational decisions. Actually im not sorry for saying it... You mean that i have to constantly sacrifice something or pay in order to reach the same thing you do absolutely freely? ITS NOT ABOUT THE VAUE ITS ABOUT PRINCIPLES. So next time you see a kid with some kind of condition for example (because the case is SIMPLY the same) tell it: Im sorry my boy but you cant play with the others as they do. Not without taking your medicine. What it costs money? So buy it. You dont have the money? So deal with it. Your condition is not my problem. "They give you options you don't want use is your choice." If you dont buy the thing you cant play. Thats that.
I dont know from which tribe you come from but even thinking about such things makes me feel bad. On the other side YOU MAKE THE CLAIMS AND STAND BEHIND THEM and why? Give me reason as serious as your trash talk pls and also tell me how cruel or oppressed you are in real life in order to type this without any concern... actually dont im done with all of you and your little petty [removed] excuses.
Oh and dont forget MERRY CHRISTMAS i hope you get conscience under the christmas tree!

I think you must be playing the wrong game.... We have played this game long enough to know how it works.
We have given you another option to spending gems, but you dont want to do that? Cant see how we can help any other way.

I don't think the system you propose will work.
The first collie spawn of the day is when you login, so if you login in the evening, then no time will have passed for the collectables to be flagged.
Also collectables spawn every 8-10hrs from first login, with an average of 20 collies, then 1 would need to be flagged every 30 mins. I can see this adding a lot of strain to the servers, so leading to a lot of lag, not to mention somehow coding the flags to appear based on a timer unique to each players login time.
Try a forum search for combofinder.
While there is currently a lot of discussion about the amount and distribution of the collectibles, they are not mandatory to find ElKokrach. They are not supposed to be easy to find. Ever heard of "Where's Waldo"?
There is a strange torturous joy in finding them. Fairy fire is the other way out. So you have options.
@ ElKokrach:
Here is a method that can help you, I use it for several months:
I actually cut out all my trees leaving them only there, where are my cutters and foresters. Your "tree production" should be kept below zero (I have -1700atm) and forest will be planted only next to your foresters. This way you'll get much better view of the island keeping smooth production of logs. To do this, first turn off all foresters, and when wood cutters won't have anything to cut, turn some on to keep desired level of "forestation". To make it work keep all cutters/foresters of one type in one part of the island where there is plenty of wood of the selected kind (pine in s2 or s4, hardwood - s7 or s8 for example).
I hope this will help you find 95% of the collectibles. Works for me.
My recommendation: skip the last one, it's not worth it, it's a scarecrow anyway.

Elk, sent you a pm with a solution for you, let me know if it arrives/makes sense.
I think expecting the game to be changed for everyone because of the limitations of a minority is unrealistic.
However, if someone has a specific personal limitation which prevents them from playing the game, I see no reason why BB shouldn't make reasonable efforts to help that player out.
Contact support and ask for a supply of fairy fires for Christmas, on the basis that you require them as a result of a disability.
Giving Geologist the ability to mark them would be the best option in my book, making it a one or two hour search. It is normally easy to find collectibles in the beginning, so most can be found without any aid. In addition my Geologist at-least have a lot of downtime, though that might just because of the way I play the game. I would also like to point out that even common eye conditions such as colour blindness can effect how much effort have be expended on collectible hunts.
