Nice summary +1 to all but the message for visiting players ( written by the player) can't be implemented because of the PEGI 7 requirement of the game. I suppose a choice of messages written by BB could go into solving the issue, but as we all play differently, the list would never satisfy all the players. Good work though ( Better than the BB out takes ;) )

The message for visiting players could be linked to other Guild members only. Doesn't fully do the job intended I know but still very nice to have.

Since I switched to Infinity 2 I don't realy have a problem with lag but ultimately it would mean less clicks from us, less strain on the server and less lag for all

not sure about deploying the gen or the Skill Search and just scrap the orginal arrows in queues the're totally hopeless! However...

BB give this man a job, these suggestions are the best I've seen even tho some have been suggested b4.
and don't ever employ a microphone function, i'll get banned everytime that stupidly placed in-game message pops up!

could you explain how epic woodyard producing mahogany planks instead of lets say hardwood planks adds to lag?
also im no expert but to me it seems likely that someone clicking a up arrow 100 times to get something to top makes more lag than clicking move to top arrow once.
You didn't mention a queue for the bookbinder.
Also some other suggestions over the years players have requested are pretty useful, overlapping buffs or buildings stopping if flagged to only run while buffed.
Loot gained and troop losses over a 24 hour period.
Instead of a mail for every single building buffed, another tab saying who buffed when and how many of each buff. (from dev diary in 2012)

I feel the need, the need for w oops I mean a "Needless Things" thread, and we all know what tops that list.
Get rid of it and while you're at it, reverse the other atrocity visited upon us that fateful 25/11/14. Advs need decent loot to be worthwhile and it was extremely unfair to make such a major change after 3 years of players building economies that suited their play style. (Not to mention the wasted premium time we spent so much money purchasing, only saw 7 months benefit despite purchasing 12 months).
+1 to the majority of the suggestions Smiffy, and +1 to the excellent effort in presenting it :)

+ 1 the movement of queuing order is such a pain... and for players who have like 24Hrs queing on prov... when a quest comes to make 10 golden mug or something like that its really a super big pain... and yip love the infinite coal mines too coz if you have big prods you need lot of coal and for that if requires soo much buildings..... it would be really helpfull...

One more thing: same handeling for explorers as for generals:
Click off a number of explorers -> click off the action (e.g. extra long treasure search) -> accept
this will make it faster to send all explorers off on the same treasure / adventure search

can see the possibility of an Industrial coal mine this year, I hope BB consider an endless one instead, don't think I'd go as far as 20k gems each. Maybe 30k gems for a pack of 6 endless coal mines. I'd also like to see some increase in the limit of recyclers 3 was fine until they raised the level cap and maybe increase the limit on workyard from 1 to 2 for gems.

Either that, or perhaps they could introduce a toggle for a display like "2X" or "3X" or the desired buff, a kin to the zzzz for sleeping buildings.

I've seen this requested in other posts and I'm all in favor of it. Sometimes I just clicked the wrong thing.
It's usually agreed there should either be a time limit to recall him (e.g. while he is still near the tavern) - perhaps 2 minutes? Other suggestions have been a small price to pay (1 gem?)
At any rate I would love to be able to recall someone I just sent, and don't mind some restrictions or price for doing so.
I like 1,2,4,6 & 8. The rest might be good for other players but if we had to vote on what ones we wanted then my votes would go that way.

Ok made 1 up for geo's but it it would also work for explorers and generals which would make them stackable :)

Gens need to be on the island so they can be moved around and used to kill bandit camps, but I don't see why the ones we are not using and all other specialists can't take up residence in the tavern. If nothing else it would give us a reason to have one

I came here for the barracks/prov house queues and would see these as 100% first prioriy however, none of the suggestions here are bad and all have a place in the game as we know it.
I have ticketed support for mistakenly spent gems and consider it daylight robbery for those who have invested money in this game. I suppose on that basis it gets 101% priority :D

Don't know if this have been suggested but... was thinking of when sending out multiple generals attacking on adv's it's kinda hard sometimes to keep track of which general is which. So when you select a general (before attacking), next to the pencil (edit general's name) there's a scroll down menu with numbers 1-9. Add troops, select a number (1) and send out attack. In the shield above the general there's now a "1" visible. When general's back and you click the unload button the number resets, along with troops, showing blank. Click the green confirmation button to confirm. Just something I had in mind but maybe overkill and could be too much keeping track of?

Pity it is not in accordance with the second rule of posting suggestions and I can see why, with the OP constantly updating the original posts it invalidates all other posters as it make those with positive remarks appear to approve the most recent update when in fact it was a earlier version they approved of. For those of us who posted negative reviews the reason why we disagreed may no longer be valid.

At the end of the day it does not matter what other players or myself think about your ideas, it's what the Dev's think about them what counts. If your not presenting them in a manner they find acceptable then that's just wasted effort on your part.
True players could change their posts to reflect the changes you have made but the mechanics of the posting system can mean they may not see that such changes have been made. This means every time they see somebody has posted they have to trawl through the entire thread to find both the changes and to update their opinion, how many are actually going to make the effort to do that.

I would like to see the fish production would again have some place in Settlers economy. The solution could be to have 48h 2x buff similar to Grilled steak so the players would have option which production (fish/meat) to maintain.

Fish are too easy to get bb don't like easy unfortunately. I'd like to see a x3 for 24hr buff in the prov house relying on collectibles sucks as I always run out, but not for gold ore maybe double the cost of an erma feast.
BB probably thinking about an improved fish farm for the future current one like the deerstalkers is a bit of a downgrade on the fisherman especially since licences aren't needed much atm so could get even easier.
I would say a improved fish farm is a very long way in the future.

I'm sure lots of people thought that about silo's and water mills too but we got them anyway. since there are too many licenses in game & with the improved butcher just added the next target will likely be a fairly cheap licence free buildings probably the deerstalker first then the fish farm. I'm betting we have both by this time next year 1 at xmas & 1 at easter but we'll just have to wait n see if they prove me wrong :)
I hope not, there are plenty of built buildings still of which there is no gem brought version. Bakers & flour mills, the various smelters and weapons smiths. I presume which ever comes next will be what is likely to put as much of our cash into their bank accounts.
These UI changes would be so super awesome, please BB hire this guy :D

Very much agreed. I can't have an opinion about the epic woodyard and the beanstalks, but please make (at least most of) these suggestions happen!
Concerning the fish buff, it woud be very welcome, but it's way too cheap. Maybe for 4-5k fish would be more realistic.

the nr 1!!, love the most, - cant handle when i make a mistake and and loose maeby 100 es order like 3-4 units, and the next camp need the 100 es, but have to cancel 160 x 25 , and every time i have to w8 5-10 sek to the barrack is refreshing and its around 20 min of just pressing on a x.. and when thats done u have to re-order the units again,
1 do like the image
2 change amount from 25 order, to 100 each order, or from 1-unlimet ( the users own fault if order to ment at once)
3 do it like the settler game rise of an empire, prio the working order, like u can chose what units it have to produce first, and when reach 0 of that thing, i would produce next kinda unit
like if u order 5000 R and 5000 B , and 2000 C and then u figure out that u need some of the B and then C before the Recruit, u just prio, the B and C before R and then change back to prio R again when u need R again, then u just can keep the production up without think abour what to produce but allways have some in order ;) and in that case u can order more unit than u have the settlers for, and the "out of settler" mark come out of ur barrack when need settler, like u can pre-order the unit befor u can erford it, or like when u got no more BS and got more bows + settlers and bows are in prio 2 it would start produce bow units

I can see where they are coming from as it does not give the chance to gauge how wanted each individual idea is by the player-base. Then there is the problem where the OP added ideas to the original post which gives the false idea that players who agreed with the original post also agree with the later additions even if they had not re-visited the thread since they posted.

You've hit the nail on the head here. At the end of that day the developers need statistics to be able to clearly see where their resources need to go - after all there's only a limited amount of it. These threads are great at face value, but it would be infinitely more useful if each singular suggestion was in its own thread. These threads can then be used to gauge player feedback, how much they want it, why they want it, maybe even different takes on that suggestion. Threads with dozens of suggestions make it hard to discern all of this information.
We implore everyone who has a suggestion to first search the forums to see if it's already been submitted (and add a post if that's the case). If they can't find it, they can then start a new thread to invite public discussion. The more active the thread (+1's tell us hardly anything by the way), the more information the developers can get from it.

You may be new to this game, but we and the forum are not. I suggest YOU take time to look through the hundreds of threads/items, or employ a someone new to do so as, if there has never been a database for them in the past, that is pretty shameful on BBs behalf.
Even your faithful MODS have tried to keep the suggestions together by merging them within the forum where they can.
Your response just goes to show how much our suggestions have really been taken notice of in the past..

Most of the ideas here were collected by Smiffy from original seperate threads, which in general, he has linked in the opening post. The graphics are original, but not necessarily the ideas :)

ok said it before but i'll say it again i started this thread with the aim of listing good suggestions made by not just myself but all who use the forums in an overview (something bb should've done a long time ago) I even did it with pictures so it would be clearer. it was started BEFORE the posting guidelines got put up and had UNFINISHED MORE TO COME on the original post right from the start. with 3k+ threads in this part of the forum searching is unpractical and in most cases doesn't happen.
also to the "1%" who object to this thread don't worry i stopped adding to it ages ago as it was a waste of my time but i will point out that i see u complain, pick holes or just plain invent reasons not to like almost everything, but yet u never seem to have any good ideas of your own to contribute... funny that!

Thanks Smiffy for the explanation. I think they are really good suggestions so if they were made before individually and ignored by BB, and then grouped and ignored again I think its nothing to do with the suggestions taking too much time for BB to read. Even grouped together it only takes a few moments. BB should then perhaps give a brief response as to why they cannot even consider an idea before we all waste so much of our time making comments + or - . But apparently only their time is at a premium.
With regard to the few unhelpful negative comments, they are often the same people on just about every thread so just ignore them.

We do understand that you would like to see more response to suggestions, but unfortunately, it's not as straightforward as you may think. Ravel did previously give an explanation (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/32533-Suggestions-overview-thread?p=296184&viewfull=1#post296184) as to why it is not currently possible for feedback to be given on all suggestions.

I just think it cant be that difficult to tell us what you know for sure you cant do. Must be some you can discount immediately and we do understand that BB have to prioritise as well. I have seen the explanations :)
I am sure its frustrating coming up with ideas , putting a lot of time into the graphics etc to hear nothing ever at all. Some of these threads have been going on for 4 years with no response. Im sure we would accept a +1 from BB occasionally even if they do not like ours :D We do realise it would then take time and may not come to fruition like the guild bank (whistles....) :D
We still need most of this BB. Especially "Send to top" in barracks queues.

I'd like to add onto this list the more and more urgent need for better explorer management. Like the geo suggestion here, we need to be able to do a select all and send at the same time rather than going through them 1 by 1. People who want to do that can still do so, but the only thing I do is send every one of them on the longest adventure search and it's becoming very tedious with so many explorers now available.
When they come back with loot we also need to be able to just see everything in 1 place and collect the lot in 1 click, rather than having to go through each mail individually. I've got 4 pages of explorer loot mails now from the past 4 or 5 days and I just can't be bothered to collect them 1 at a time any longer.
One change I would make to the geo interface you have shown here is the number of geos shown in the list is too small. The geo/explorer section should be quite a lot bigger with the skill tree shown as a mouse over pop up or something because most of the time it's just not that important. I don't care what skill they have, I just want to send all my fast geos out for granite etc most of the time. If you want to send them individually because you have 1 special one, you can just do that using the current method of sending them out
