There has been a suggestion to add more ranks to guilds (example (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/26527-guild-ranks)) and the feedback (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/32095-Feedback-Sneak-Peek-Guild-Quest-Rework) for the guild rework has raised questions about inactive players.

I suggest to combine these two to add a new rank to guilds that don't get guild quests and don't count to the max reward from it. If the player has an active guild quest demoting to this rank wouldn't remove the quest or change the max reward until the next quest.

This would allow guilds to keep inactive players and/or players that don't want to participate in guild quest without affecting the guild quest.

++1 from me.

I like quest and the guild quest, but I hate the timer, so I would prefer not to have any guild quests with the new system. I am thinking of leaving guild and game because of it. I play to get away from stress, not to get more stress.

I'm not sure I've got it - but if you are saying that you could set a rank where that person would not be expected to do a guild quest and it also would not count against the total,
then +1
