Chat tab changes to Global-1

Since the 23.2.2016 update starting/accepting an adventure changes the chat tab automatically to Global-1.

This happens because the chat UI resets when one of the new adventure chat tabs are added.

Yes, happened to me too - kinda funny when all of a sudden you're posting in G-1 "Wts/Swap Lootspot" and IMMEDIATELY get a mod bashing you "Move to trade".

I know, I know it's not the Mod's faults, but the game engine shouldn't make people break rules due to bugs and then get punished for that.

You think mods reminding someone they have posted in the wrong tab is bashing? How do you get through life with such thin skin? I've only ever seen a mod ask nicely for a person to use the correct tab if they should post in the wrong one- and usually accompanied with a "please". A very long way from bashing, I think!

I agree it is quite annoying to have the tab change, and I really hope they fix that soon, but in all the cases I've seen people are quite understanding about being on the wrong tab for whatever reason. We all make mistakes.

I just hope I don't bounce to global chat when I say certain types of things to my wife Diwata...:o

I don't understand your "wow". The bug was introduced on 23rd Feb, reported here on the forum the next day and the very same day BB_RobinHood "installed it into his database". I'd say that was a pretty quick response as it would take time for it to be confirmed as a bug and not a player error. Then the BB took time to update this thread on the status- again, pretty good.

And you claim you only reported it on the forum today, 10 days after it started? Wow....

The point is that BB supposedly has a QA team. T-E-A-M. As in better than 1 blinddeath limbless person who has never used a computer. Yet there are tens of bugs that make it to live many of which happen 100% of the time. This happens despite the said team and the coders themselves and the test server and the bugs being reported. After all that BB claims they have no knowledge of a bug.

Nothing on change log to say this is being fixed but fingers crossed.

Update Change Log 15th of March 2016

A few additional changes will be part of the upcoming game version:

CHANGES & IMPROVEMENTS
UI: Chat no longer returns/jumps to the global channel upon joining a coop adventure chat.
UI: The confirmation message when demolishing a special storehouse (Spacious, Improved or Island Storehouse) shows the number of resources lost
UI: Coop adventure chat no longer disappears after chat server disconnection
UI: Players are returned to the same global channel they had active when logging out

all i did was leave my adventure to go accept a ls from my island. (lost chat) then when i got it back as you can see again getting Global one chat where my whispers should been.
A Mod asked me to post screenshot as a few of us were talking about it still happening in global 1 earlier in the day

Interesting.... it's been fixed for me. Now the only time I offer a trade on global (or yesterday, on help) is when I've clicked the wrong tab.

Any way you can describe your actions exactly when you got that error please? It does look weird, but I have no way of reproducing it.
You say you left your adventure. I assume that means you switched zones in order to accept a loot spot.

Should this happen again, please describe the exact steps taken as that would help a lot.

When an adventure loot spot ends, it is supposed to return you somewhere. I am thinking this is intended unless there is some other weird behaviour.

If I understood this correctly you returned to home island from the adventure and during the home island loaded you lost connection to the the chat server (happens a lot due to the long map loading when memory is full). When the home island had loaded the chat reconnected and opened the global chat tab with the whisper participant box.

I arranged a private trade via whisper while on adventure and returned to home island to accept trade sent in mail.
I lost connection while home island was loading and this was the result:

No, was on guild chat when the other person finished the adv then got hopped to g-1 so wasn't even on adv chat. Will try to get some times for the devs next time.

http://prntscr.com/arbwu1 Ravel after chat maint was over had same thing (delted my wisp peoples names) but as can see my wispas was in global one so if was meant to stop that it dont seem to have for me :(
