★ No Geologist messages when returning [13813]

This one has started to occur recently, it's an intermittent bug that seems to persist for the entire session you are logged in.
Sending a geologist out on a stone search, and he appears to sneak back without reporting.
There is no popup saying whether he found stone or not and no messages about him in News tab.
Annoying, because you end up having to check manually for exhausted stone deps, or waste time sending him back out.
Only seems to affect stone searches as far as I can see.

no, it's all searches, geos are bugged.
As soon as you go to a different tab or adventure island they do this.
Also, i always search for the fast mines. Crash a mine while they already search and they find that 1. Shouldn't be possible

As far as I've noticed it's only happening for stone and copper searches here.

I've noticed that as well. I use the sounds if I'm otherwise busy, and not getting them all the time. And nothing in the news either. They've gotten sneaky....

I've also found the very old bug of `new quest' notification tied into a deposit find occurring multiple times, so I guess we know which buggy copy/paste base code they have used recently ;)

It appears this bug is back, just had a geo fail to report finding a iron mine on the achipeligo.

my geos have been doing this to me from I started playing, so untill stumbling upon this thread I almost thought sneaky geologists to be a 'feature' - its not happening consistently except when two geologists get back at almost the same time from same type search, then one of them always sneak in without a result - but otherwise the sneaking can happen both on successfull and failure

Yup - repeating an earlier post - often there is no message, sound or anything to tell me of a search success or fail. It's not that hard to check the geologists but like I'm sure most people do - especially first login of the day - I'm multi tasking and having the notification pop up is very helpful.

I've had this happen to me as well several times - on granite searches - the geologist returns and finds a deposit but there is no audible warning or message.
