This is being investigated at the moment and the 2 constants noticed so far are the Quartermaster General and the Black Knights adventure, so the thread has been renamed.
Please mention in your comments if you had you were using the QM or if you were doing BK when encountering the issue.

on arriving at my adventure the qm went into star due to lack of landing spots, the troops were unloaded so I assigned them to my mma and sent attack. i left adventure. when I came back qm had mysteriously placed itself and all the troops it had previously unloaded were in there. my mma was dead and the battle report looked like this.

this also happened with a slightly different variation on my northisle character yesterday where I placed the qm out of star and the troops jumped back into qm.

That is not QM bug. This is related with all generals.
This is most happen in BK (can happen also in other adventures) because BK landing zone have bug.

game show as general go in star and you can use units from that general, but actually that generals has landed and units are in that general

Problem is mismatch of map versions between client and server. Just like the path issues.

I have just lost 190 cav and 205 can on bk i made sure the gen had the right stuff in even up to it start attacking and now the replay shows i only put rec's in it, but still i have lost the other troops. Not sure whether to cancel the adv or not now as i don't want to lose more troops.

Deff something weird going on In BK,just lost 50 cannons-all was checked before sending gen-on battle report cannons showed wrong number,they were killed anyway. So BK,I will give you a rest til this issue is fixed :(

I already sent a ticket to the support, [Ticket#UK-2016031811000367]. Here, I just want to share the information and know if anyone has the same issue.

In Black Knights adv, first block, I sent 4 generals to attack. I loaded them with troops, double checked if they got the right numbers, sent them to attack. I watched until all of them started departing. Then, I returned to home island.

When I received the mail, I went back to the adventure and saw that my second general was empty. He was not dead, he was alive without troops, and might not attack actually. I received other mails that my other generals were intercepted. Of course, my attack failed and lost a lot of troops.

I saw with my own eyes that my second general started departing before my 3rd and 4th generals. A general without troops can't be sent to attack. I don't know why he became empty afterwards.

Same problem with 2 Generals

seems the problem is QM general

There are not enough landing zones on the target island. Your general has been returned to your star menu and his troops have been unassigned.
after the battles the QM is on ground and
full of troops

Not advisable to leave adventure if you're making a block, all timers go wild and very likely you will lose it somewhere

I didn't use any Quartermaster. I used 3 normal generals and 1 Master of Martial Arts. The bugged general was a normal general.

I didn't have any problems with landing zones. All my generals landed normally. I unloaded their troops, and moved them to other places before starting attack.

just had that and qm did land in star menu.. All generals was load with troops and battle reports says they were more or less empty. Was doing bk adventure.

what i'm reading here could as well be related to one of my posts and merging the info it seems the BK is the troublemaker, not the QM

Yes, that is correct. Flash seems to go very stupid when you return to the home island during attacks - I've heard many things reported. I always watch the attacks (or for simple ones I trust at least leave the adventure island the active window if I have to leave the room). I'd recommend making that a habit.

just had this again on BK. All troops loaded, went to the block, I was watching them carefully. Both gens entered relevant camps and started fighting. Leader looked to be taking too long to fall so I returned home and came back. The second gen was not loaded with troops at all....

The QMG was transferring (empty) to a new position on the map at the time to allow me landing room of other gens.

I can confirm this happens without the quartermaster general. As I do not own one, I just send normal troops. Not even Claus. Sent the attacks, go to home island and come back to see that it has all failed. 100 elites, 150 odd cavalry and 190 recruits. Luckily no cannoneers.

Same problem here.
Attacked and everything went perfectly. Then it took a lot longer time so i went back home to the main island, and then i went back to BK and 2 of the first generals was still alive but with no troops. Then my major was dead and when i check the battle report, it says he ahve crossbows but they are 0.....

I had this bug in HLT.

Does it help if all of the generals (including those in star menu)are re-positioned in the map?

So basically, till patch time tomorrow, we lose an entire day worth of adventures and because of their disclaimer in the blocking and locking section of their help section, they will not refund us for the fact that we cannot do any adventuring all day and we just have to risk a lot of damascene swords and horses. Can we possibly get a response on what is happening with this as this is a possible, even conservative, 750 egg loss.

This very closely related thread is worth a look, Fingers crossed the fix in the update covers it as well: general is not where he sems to be (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/32870-general-is-not-where-he-sems-to-be)

There's a possible workaround in the last few posts. Like Durin_d asked, if anyone else can confirm it (or poke massive holes in it) please do.

Since the bug is more about a standard game mechanic clearly, suddenly, and fairly consistently not working properly than it is about hinky block fails, (generals should land properly, retain their troops, walk where they are sent and not go dancing off invisibly to unexpected places) it seems worth a ticket carefully explaining the circumstances if the bug does do damage. Not official, just a player-opinion.

Raised a similar support ticket.
In my case, the Veteran arrived on the island with 143 Recruits 0 Cannonneers ... guess how many are "gone"?

Had a strange think on BK, but reading this maybe the same issue, had Major in the star but units were still assigned to it. (no screenshot however still keep a closer eye / print screen after update)

I just got hit by a bug on BK at my first attack.

Generals on adventure: 2x MMA, 2x MG, 1x Vet, 3x tavern

Using the guide below

Sent 3 tavern generals to block and MMA to kill leader.
I watched the fight, no generals were intercepted .. but the fight was taking longer then normal.

Then I got a message that MMA had lost the fight!

I checked my mail, 4 messages saying generals were intercepted and 1 battle report.

And my 3 blocking generals were still showing as fighting, 10 mins later!!!

I left the adv and reloaded it:

1 blocking general is showing as unharmed, but no troops - they've somehow been unassigned.

1 blocking general is showing as unharmed but has lost 41E.

Last blocking general is showing as recovering - lost 111R + 47E.

MMA is showing as recovering - lost 110R + 1E + 109K

Strange happening on BK when switch to other zone and back during attack.

I went to the other BK during fight and back few sec. later.
Ingame notify "general wounded" (block was not failed), it healed few secounds after taking this screen... troops not lost fortunately.

there several time i have had bugs on bk...i do the wiki block from landing zone and 1/10 i will see either the block fail (main atk still fight and 1st block gen going back to his camp) then i leave to go que my lost troops but upon returning my block gen is has all his troops back?..1/5 times...its the second block gen,block is ok ...but when clicking on gen he is classed as dead but still has 95 troop with him..again leaving and coming back he alive with all troops....
