I have suggestion that I think will be helpful for less clicks and faster way to upgrade buildings, if we have upgrade buttons inside building as well.
So you select that "upgrade" tool, and then you click on the building that you want to upgrade, when you mouse over you have to see the resources required to level up and time to finish, and when you click it must show pop up ask you to confirm and shows the resources that needed and time to finish.
It will be helpful for level up the mines in faster way without select mine and lose the focus.
How would the game know which building to upgrade ?

Its icon like destroy building, how you game know which building you upgrade?
Simply you click on it, and then you click on buildings that you want to upgrade.

Failing to see how that is less clicks. So instead of select building, click on upgrade. You want click on build menu if not open, click on toolbox if not already selected, click on upgrade, click on building. That's going to be a minimum of two more clicks to a maximum of double the number of clicks.

Why you trying to make it bad with false scenario?
instead of
1. click building
2. click update
3. click OK to confirm
repeat for 6 copper mines, 4 iron mines, its 10 buildings x 3 click , so its 30 clicks.
If i have tool box:
1. click on building menu.
2. click upgrade tool
then the repeat part is :
3. click building with tool.
4. click OK to confirm (after this the tool must still sticky like destroy building thing)
after you finish
5. you click cancel in the bottom of screen.
so its 2x10 + 3 = 23 clicks.
If you want only single building you still have that open from building overview.
10 buildings just example, imagine those guys who make a bulk upgrading for like 20 or 30 buildings, if 20 its 43 instead of 60 clicks, if 30 its 63 instead of 90.
Actually its just a little bit faster, and sounds cool.

25 instead of 30, once a day... seems marginal. I think there are other priorities for the programmers to make our lives easier (cough *move to top in queue buttons* cough).
Without an extra "confirm" click (like applying buffs) would be better.

What to try? I mean when you want to destroy buildings or roads, do you need to click "pin" ?
