can't load game says guiicon_lib/empty.bin

Hi,

I was playing the game with my firefox no problem all well for a few days now. Suddenly 2 hours ago, I built a building and I noticed that its icon remained at the top right after the building was built. It wouldn't dissapear. So I thought "maybe a glitch" and decided to make a quick re-log.

After that I could not go back into the game. When I was trying to login, when the login bar started to fil at about 3% it was asking me to download a file --> http://static13.cdn.ubi.com/settlers_online/live/uk/L4195UK/SWMMO/GFX/guiicon_lib/empty.bin

a 1 kb empty.bin file

Wether I download it (to test it) or not, the game wouldn't start, it would stay there, idle. I left it like this on purpose for testing purposes and it remained like that with no progress for more than 10 mins. I made multiple tests always the same. I even emptied my cache etc.

I browsed the forums and I didn't see a similar bug so I could find a solution (hence why I am also reporting it).

After all the above, I decided to try login with my IE, which worked. I logged in and I am playing regularly as normal.

I logged out and tried to login back with my firefox to see if "I got un-stuck" or something but the problem remained. Still prompting me with a pop-up to download that file and still ofc I can not play with firefox as I could do so far for quite a few days.

PS: 1) bug = technical issue ***
2) If a solution to this problem is found I would appreciate a post / reply in the forum so I can solve the issue. After all, I do prefer to use my firefox :)
3) (edit>) I restarted my computer and even reset my modem and the problem remains.

almost a year later, having the same problem

game used to work now I'm not able to load game it hangs and says guiicon_lib/empty.bin. reinstalled flash....doesn't work with chrome or edge and gives same error for both.

can't load game. updated flash. won't run on either MS edge or chrome and using win 10. game used to work and problem is current one.

problem is :guiicon_lib!empty.bin

Did you try to visit any other sites that use flash? It might not be a problem with flash nor chrome's version. The error doesn't say anything else? Can you post a screenshot of it?

I can't really tell you much with what you give here, other than that there's been other people with this problem in this thread (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/15372-empty.bin-bug).
