Summer Event Flags

Dear Settlers,

As you all know, Flowerbed flags become available in the shop during each Summer Event.

The European English servers are unique in that they cater to a wide variety of nationalities. As a result, we have had a number of requests (as suggestions, in PMs, whispers, etc.) from players to include a Flowerbed flag that represents the flag of their own country.

I would like to make a list of the flags requested, so none of our players feel that their country has been overlooked so, without further ado:

How about making the flags so that they fly on a flag post on the Mayor's house instead of taking up ground space?

Re which flags, maybe all that take part in the Olympics so as to cover almost all, and add Vatican City to acknowledge it being the smallest country.

I am afraid there is no way they can get implemented this event as this would mean creating and deploying another game version.
The art/objects for an event are prepared a long time in advance so 3 months ago would probably still have been too late for this event.

Isle of Man, Vatican City, Monaco, San Marino - hey why not all the world flags? Idea was that they were the flags of the countries who made it to the World Cup/Euros as it is a European server, not the flags of those who moan about their's not being there.

the ingame flags for WC or Euro Cup are based on the countries that qualified for the event, so not likely to get some of the flag people been asking for here

yep i see what BB said in first post, but kind of defeats the point of a World Cup/European Championship themed event if you have flags from teams not in the competition

While we don't plan on adding any countries that aren't participating in this year's tournament, we are looking to add the Union Jack flag; pending whether we can free up the resources needed that are currently invested on more important things.
