Hi,

I know I gave a lot of suggestions today :)

But why not :)

I think will be nice if you just add a little helpful feature for mail system, is : Archive Mail, and you can get archived, I think will be helpful,
OR
button to delete all buffs and battles.

I received a lot of helpful tips and hints from friends, and buff list i send to friend, want to keep them, and battle logs , friends buff fill the pages of my mail, i can select them all and delete but I might be delete those important mails too, if I could move them to another folder will be so nice.

I'd like to see options for deleting buff mails and battle reports so we don't miss mails from friends or guild, or some way of sorting mail so the different types show up differently. Maybe having filters so that messages are always on top?

Agree.

I am certainly not going to sit and one by one delete the 250 Your building has been buffed messages that fill my in box when I log on.
Like all other players I just click the select all option and choose delete. Repeat until all messages are gone. Who knows how many emails from friends or guild I have purged over the years because of bad game design.

I wish players could see if a mail is send individual or groups/guildmail.

Yes a context menu item "Select all mails of this type" (based on the first selected mail) would be great.

I would also like the context menu to have an option, for selected mails, to move all goods to Star Menu and delete the mail. If I had to choose then I would prefer this to the filter/"Select all mails of this type" option.

Whilst we don't have the ability to filter we can sort mails by type. Then all those Buff messages come together, as do the battle reports, adventure loot, trade mails etc. So you can select all the messages on a "page" and delete them using the context menu. Sadly after deleting them you are returned to page 1. So, not as good as a filter, a bit tedious, but better than nothing.

I would like an option to save mail. As a leader I get many mails I want to refer to or sent out etc. Would be very useful to have saved mail box as I find it's too easy to delete them and a pain to hunt for the one I'm wanting.

i'd have to agree, often reply's get lost accidentally deleted when removing battle info ect, not helpful as an officer in guild either, and when trying to refer back to things only to find it's simply not there is fustrating

Agreed. Perhaps a separate folder for buff mails and attack mails too so they don't clutter up the main folder. Its very hard to find the mails you want to find sometimes.

There are several changes needed for mail; aside of that mentioned in 33224-different-kind-of-mail-(difference-between-guild-mail-and-other-mails) (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/33224-different-kind-of-mail-(difference-between-guild-mail-and-other-mails)) a simple Reply-button is needed - putting that option in Context Menu have made it harder for inexperienced players to interact with others.

This..

While chat is something just a few really rely on - I bet there are more players not knowing how to use whisper - no one can play this game without checking their mail.
BB may keep trying to get more players active in global chat channels, but meanwhile a lot of players are missing highly useful information because they use the handy "Select: All" and "Delete" in their mailbox.

I would like to suggest adding some useful features for the guild mail system.

1) option to send mail to all officers + leader.
2) option to send mail to all in guild between certain levels.

Have these features as part of things leaders can turn on and off for different levels of members in guild.

and for email system as a whole .. be able to filter and turn off emails .. so able to switch off battle reports or buff messages.

Also .. not to have guild mail button quite so close to the leave guild button! Accidents happen!

Thanks

I have some important mails that I must not lose. And, everyday, I have tons of mails from adventures and friends' buffs that I have to delete them. Everytime, I have to select all, find my important mails in that ocean of mails to unselect them, then delete. I must do very carefully every time; otherwise, I may delete my important mails by mistakes.

I wish to have an Archive to move my important mails there, then I can easily delete all other spam mails.

If mail could be sorted into separate "letter boxes" it would make it less likely that mail would get deleted by mistake, as happens regularly to me, and probably everyone else.
There could be boxes for (a) all adventure and expedition reports, (b) all search reports, bounced trades etc (c) buffs etc and (d) personal mails, guild info etc.... these being the ones we usually want to keep.

As an extra thought, search reports could have a further option to pay all found resources etc in one go for those who are in a hurry and don't need to look at each item received.

+1 Brilliant idea, one that would make life a lot easier. If I had 1gc for every time I have been mass deleting buff mails etc and have killed off an unopened mail from a guildie I would be rich.

Thumbs up on that suggestion. Even if it were only one mailbox, a selection function like in the TO (see only ....) would be an improvement already.

I'm not sure we need that many mail boxes. However, anything that would allow me to separate 'actual mail' from buff/trade/explorer/loot notifications would get a big thumbs up from me!

First, most disturbing for me...i can't delete chunk of emails, only if i select them in check boxes.
When buffing is in place, that is mixed 250+ emails (needed, i do not have anything against) prizes from search and pvp trades.

Shift + click is not a option to select more than one email.
250 check boxes clicked within 3+ pages...and because of mistake (yours or system''s) most secure way is only visible ones.

With others strange things i can live...when there is not enough resources for pvp trade, and offer is unvisible after that untill relogin or further...
What is your solution of this needy procedure in email system?

There is a check box which selects all mail on the current page, I don't know about trades, but if you delete a whole page of mail, it ignores treasure searches/adventure prizes and just deletes buff reports/combat reports. Maybe it does not delete any mail which has items attached to them?

ikimiaca
28.11.17, 17:09
I will try that, but what about mail correspondence with another player which you are want to keep?

what we really need is a save email option......

Checking the box at the very top will select all mail (up to some kind of number I've never really counted exactly) but it's more than just one page. And I know that it does not delete any mail that involves trades or anything which has items attached (like you indicated). I've never specifically checked misc. player mail - my guess would be it would leave that alone but it should be tested first.

So you all are saying that in email system there is applied filter already , but not obvious or declared, and even checked check box is removed from queue of deleting if filter applies on that mail.

umm it selects exactly one page and player mails are deleted.

And reward emails too, if they are read, probably same as trade emails.

I've moved this to the Game Suggestions subforum as I don't really see any technical issues or bugs present. You're more than welcome however to discuss ways that you believe would improve the mail UI.
