View Full Version : Concerning special mines and nursery
Dear Devs,
It would be a great option if expensive mines such as special gold mines, arctic mines, granite pits, exotic nursery etc to go to sleep automatically after it reaches to a certain point in deposit, lets say 10. Then we would be very glad as not to loose these gems of buildings to destruction when deposit finishes. Some people spend a lot of resources and time getting these buildings so please make a game update concerning this issue and try to come up with a solution. Hoping for your active consideration. Afterall we love seeing these buildings in our island not see them get destroyed for our bad time management (sometimes it happens, we cant help it).
Sincerely,

Nice idea, but if they are gem-bought items, it is not in BBs interest to do this, as they will want you to buy another mine/nursery etc. It is from this type of sale that BB make their revenue
Well I get that. There are many items which are to be bought with gems and they can always bring in new content like that too. I'm just saying about the mines and nursery which many have gotten as gifts/rewards by playing the game. I bet the revenue generated from gem usage to purchase special mines/nursery is still very low compared to gems usage in other sectors such as generals and premiums. Eventhough, I cant be sure about BB"s revenue income statistics exactly but I'm guessing so.
a nice idea, but I suspect BB will not do it - this game is developed / paid by ppl buying gems
This suggestion has a nasty bug which would nerf buffs placed on the buildings.
I just hope by some way those buildings can be saved from destruction when deposit runs out, may it be by auto sleeping or it just stays standing even after deposit reads zero. Ive done bit of python programming myself and I believe any bugs can be fixed with brilliant coding :)
I like the idea and hope this will be in an update soon.
I think this would be unfair to those players (like myself) that work very hard to keep track of where their mines are at and make sure to sleep or refill them when necessary. This game is primarily about economic management. Therefore, you must manage which is a proactive task. I would rank this right up there with ideas of buffs being auto-applied by some kind of robot. What then is the point of even logging in?
I understand where you are coming from and I'm also against ideas such as auto buffs and such. But I am just mentioning my idea regarding ONLY special mines/nursery (the beautiful rare buildings). I do not want it for lets say my lvl 6 normal iron mine (let it fall down after deposit runs out I totally agree to that) but I would rather not see that same predicament for lets say an arctic iron mine which is rare and many players I believe work hard to get one.
P.S. Even I, in lvl 47 right now don't own any arctic iron mine, only got 1 special gold mine from last x-mas event and I use it very wisely regularly filling with gold deposits and using gold fever buffs but still scared that 1 day it might get destroyed even though I might not be able to help it (for ex. internet outage/important meeting-work)
while I totally agree with xibor this would make the special mines more worthwhile. I don't bother with them at all the way they are atm. I can build mines that are just as good with resources from in-game which = free!
I did get an endless copper mine tho... and ye it's awesome :)
Exactly, it would make special mines worthwhile no doubt. Building high level normal mines is fine and I bet we will be doing that all the time as long our geologists have a job. But, special mines are just special, both visually and functionally. People I believe keeps one or two of these mines making them sleep and adding extra deposits from time to time. I just want guarantee of some sort that they will not break down suddenly when deposit runs out. Thank you all for the support shown, even the criticism to this idea can bring up new better ideas to tackle this issue more efficiently for devs I hope. :)
Maintaining a special mine is exactly the same as maintaining a high level mine, the only difference here is how long the player has been playing, the old hands cut their teeth on the high levels before specials were introduced. If a special should fall down there is nothing preventing you from obtaining another, it's not like they are limited to just one event meaning a possible wait of up-to nearly a year to get another. You can obtain more just through normal game-play. If anything they are disposable since due to the evolution of the game better ones come along with which many want to replace the older versions for the new sparkly model.
I've been only playing from last December and I managed to get 2 special gold mines free from event (unfortunately one got destroyed), 1 exotic nursery free from event (which I don't even turn on as I'm scared it will run out and I rely on explorers for exotic logs anyways), none granite pits or arctic mines or anything else that I might not even know about yet. So just saying that the wait is too long with always the scare of it getting destroyed if kept turned on for too long mistakenly. I say it would be better knowing it won't fall down when deposit runs out, waiting is fine by me to acquire them free from events.

Also available from adventures or trade.
I believe my suggestion is not preferable to very high level players (as they can afford to buy anything anytime) but it will be most appreciated by medium/low level players. We don't have the luxury to spend so much coins for mines which are always over-priced in TO instead we save it for magnificent residence, useful production buildings and such.

I think you are missing some key points:
1) Nobody can buy everything they want at anytime -regardless of level.
2) Those players that have gotten to a high level have gone through all the pain themselves - and amazingly they managed to make it.
3) Some of this is supposed to be hard. Without effort reward feels very shallow.
Still I think its still not enough reason for special rare mines that we get from annual events or spend so much coins/gems on should just get destroyed as deposit finishes. Thats certainly not "Special/Rare" in any case.
In any game there is the risk of loss, unlike many games in this one you are able to keep playing. Yet here you are arguing about the loss of production capacity which can replaced with nothing more than a few planks, tools and some marble, or the loss of some recruits which most can replace in less than a day. Both of which apply to med level players.
You still as yet have to suggest a bug free version of your suggestion.
