Not so much a bug but noticed some problems for some players with this quest.

Find 6 stone deposits

Some players make stone refills from barrels and your not able to delete a stone deposit, so do us players that made and put 100ks refills in all stone deposits have to wait 2 to 5 years for them to empty or can you add a button that allows us to demolish them in order to find again for the quest?

Next part to the quest, find 5 copper deposits, ok not impossible but why when we will soon potentially have 3 endless copper and 3 industrial copper mines. Seems odd that we need to find deposit and loads of industrial mines are out that we cant place as then we cant search for deposits.

Why are we getting so many refills in rewards like copper etc that we cant use as the quests contradict this by wanting us to find deposits.

Like I say its not a bug more of did the devs actually think this through.

Anyone else have thoughts to the logic?

My post is not very useful but I had to say that I fully agree with what has been said in post #1.

Generally I'd say only 5% of the player base will have these problems, most of us cant afford endless copper mines :) But seriously there are more than enough stone depo's on the isle and 3 spare copper depo's for those with endless copper. If u have already found 3 industrial copper mines and placed them down then hard luck I guess. (how u think u can get enough copper refills to keep 3 running full time I have no idea).

With high stone deposits you could build several emergency lev 3 masons to help clear the depo faster.

since this quest is made for level 21 players and the rewards in slot-maschine is matching that, I dont think it in the future should be a problem for high level players - I at least dont intend to go for the low level quests.

The Conscientious Geologist finds 2 deposits at once, but is counted as 1.

It seems it counting how many times you sent the geo, not how many deposits are found.

I heard that even failed searches are counted so you don't have to destroy the mines and find new deposit just send your geologist to search for them and let them fail to find anything.

Confirmed, failed searches are also counted.

The Quest says "Have your specialist complete x 'Find x deposit task'", it is truly not saying that finding or failing matters, now that the Conscientious Geologist count as 1 makes sense.

Thank you for your feedback regarding this quest. I've forwarded this information regarding the clarification of the quest requirements (and how exactly to complete it with Geologists), to the devs. I'll post back here when I have an update.

Absolutely - failed attempts complete quest. My geologits had 11 fruitless searches but completed quest

Hello again guys! So after having a conversation with the devs, it's been confirmed that being able to complete this quest without successfully finding a deposit is intended. The quest just asks you to complete the task, not necessarily succeed - this was to solve issues such as having endless mines etc.

Thank you for the reports regardless. It's always better to double check these things than let some slip through the cracks. :)
