You are now able to have 5 MMA and 2 MG. It's more than enough.

Most guide makers are gearing up to this fact and are not that interested in players with one or less MMA.
With a cap, more players would be able to get more than one (that I bought) and be able to use the beter guides and catch up more with those that have max. Leveling the playing field so to speak.

Looking ahead to xmas, as this is my only chance to get my second MMA.

There won't be a MMA in the xmas event merchant. MMA has always been in the Easter event merchant. You have to wait a couple of months more to get another MMA.

-1 sorry walov, but I would love more MG's and know many players who feel the same, more mma's would never go unused for that matter either :)

totally disagree with the guide maker part.

Maybe you need to look around for different guides I know i myself make some as do other players who post in the forum have a variety of guides/general/troops needed,
I play on a different server without any MMA and making lower level guides also for tavern generals so other guides are about you just need to look for them. Like this forum top of my head you can also look up Killeste/Tage/princess ally guides Or even Evil J's the old genisis guides on USA forum. I know wiki has various troop/general options per adventure also.

And even if you do have 1 or 5 MMA the adventures give you plenty time for them to heal and then finish the adventure off at least they dont take 4 hours to heal like tavern generals do

As for the generals my thinking is you cant never have to many generals as who knows what the Devs have planned in the future where they maybe used.
Also as already stated MMA was not xmas but easter as last year we could get a Santa troop carrier general not fighting type, and if my memory correct MMA, VET and MOD was available at easter. as like last year they introduced Drac and he is yet again available with the grim in halloween.

Events to me are one of the best ways to get generals/specialists/limited buildings etc that you don't have to spend gems to get them with just event resources.

why should others who are long standing players of the game have a cap on how many generals they can get?

We don't know what they have planned for the future, but we can tell alot from the direction they are taking :)

If they continue pushing towards the content that requires you to use elite units, then unless the reward for it is exceptional you will already have too many generals for one simple reason: maths.

We have very limited elite prodution and without a major overhaul it will never get close to the production of regular barracks, which as a result mean that if there ever is content that requires you to lose as many units as a Tailor does, it will either be done once (over the course of a week or two waiting for the units to produce) for the rewards, or you (and the rest of the players) will skip it entirely and go back to grinding Thieves.

In shorter words : when you cant afford to throw groups of 200 swordsmen away at ease, you dont need 20 generals for cannon fodder.

it all comes down to choices and myself i start adventures if i know i have the troops made to do them start to finish in a reasonable time frame
BUT im probably not like most players that has 3 types of army made to be able to do what ever im in the mood to that set moment in time whether it be normal addys or ali ones or even pvp.

yes the elite barracks takes longer to remake troops at lv 6 than a normal barracks does and i personally have suggested the better buff for elite barracks ages ago on forum

so now we have zone buffs we can get from excelsior to use on top of a normal skunk so can speed them troops up also.
also im sure as more and more guides get made then there maybe better losses available on elite addys etc. they just take time to be made.

as for if they continue the elite troop way surly that is the point more people level up the more XP etc they want and elite addys give us the chance to get grout if we want it all year around not just limited to events like it used to be or via trade.

I still think you cant never have to many generals even if they not used as cannon fodder then they still can be used as troop taxis if needs be

Id love another MG, and more MMA's if possible for suicide waves to at least drop the amount of elite troops I lose and then need to retrain in the barracks.

To my mind, either more gens or better buffs on the barracks - that's my maths :D

This is a badly flawed idea. If you put a cap on MMA and MG all that is going to happen is players will start getting more Vet's and Drac's. Cap those and maybe Grims and Mods will proliferate. Taking this to it's logical conclusion your asking for a Cap on all gens, the problem with this both retail packs. For reasons of legality BB can not place a cap on the number of those gens. We already have players with dozens of them.

So everyone that has more generals than you must limit their resources because you can't be bothered to look for a guide according to your resources. Makes no sense to me at all, sorry. If you want to catch up to people that have been playing 3-4 years, you got to cough up some gems because that's the way of online games. They need to live somehow too!

I've got 2 majors... sure wouldn't mind a third as the walking times on the bigger adventures are way too long.

Yeah not a good idea imho. The more MMA's and MG's I can have, the faster I can do my adventures. I know those things have like X days on a timer, but I'd rather finish them faster rather later. Each MMA extra, means less time spent on an FT (as I use sacrifice units to weaken some camps). Heck even the Drac is pretty decent with that. Can't wait for the day I have like 8 or so MMA's tbh ... man I could cut time spent on FT's by 50% then ...

Mate, I completely agree with you.
I wrote a post similar to you and got ridiculed for being stupid by long time players. I also included the ridiculously low building drop rates that we now have compared to the ones they had back in the day. For me it's not as much about "Catching up" (I overtook some players by lvl that have been here for 3 years more than me) but making the game balanced and interesting. Players are leaving, new players aren't staying. I think they get discouraged when they find out they will never be as cool as the "old folks".
But of course everyone that plays for a long time will disagree which is completely understandable but this game needs saving before it's too late. Trade channel is getting quieter every month.

Mate couldn't help but reply...gems will not help that much with catching up in the "material" sense. There's a limit on MMAs, Veterans and some buildings and resources are way overpriced. Gems will get you some cool stuff like the premium which helps A LOT that is true. If they added more MMAs, MGs etc in the shop then it would be great yep :) 1 is not enough.

Limit the long time players so you noobs can catch up? Haha, like that's going to happen. Us veterans is what has kept this game going over the years, maybe you guys should of joined back then instead of playing lego star wars or pokemon, lol.

Ooh, great idea, not. Tell you what, how's about no-one is allowed anymore MMA's or MG from now on? Ahhh that would mean you don't get another.

Maybe come up with ideas that don't have a negative impact on others?

Not a good idea.

I have some MMA, other have more. Some have less. In time you get more, so will others. You cant catch up, you cant become level.

That is the way of it, in this game, and in most others i would say.

MG's are limited to 2 - has to be changed in shop to be able to get more, and I think most would like that since it is not event related.
MMA's are not limited - but I think they are not that important when using Elite units where it is the load that does the most hitting - General Log will in many cases hit almost as hard as MMA - and Veteran will hit much harder. ( the 30 extra Elite units will ). Of course you can use MMA's with 1R to kill some foxes or cavalry but in many camps there are many fox/cavalry so to make any real diference in final attack you will have to use all 5 MMA's on initial suicides just to kill 1 camp. In my venture-guides I use MMA suicides - because of the 220 troops - but in many attacks MMA's could probably be replaced by Tavern generals, without much bigger loss. in total attack.

I cant see why you should bother about what other players have, or dont have.
Why put a limit on mma ? This is not a competitive game. If the old players cant get any interesting stuff out of event - the game become boring and pointless.

Just enjoy what you do have, instead of being envious of what others have, that you dont have.
