As far as I remember it follows the usual scenario/venture routine:

Quest pops -> collect collies on venture island -> go home and make the buff the quest asks for in provision house ->return to venture and use the buff on the bits of the island that light up

Excellent guide.
Well, just for lazy one> Army list: 940 R, 205 C, 140 K, 120 XB, 220 ES, 120 S, 80 B - this is if you take 2 MMA and a major.
Lost in attack: 1-0, 2-15R, 3-12R, 4-27R, 5-15R, 6-5C, 7-38R, 8-0, 9-2R, 10-0, 11-0, 12-45R, sum 154R, 5C.
I believe that you don`t need to take all of those R, around 400 is more then enough.
