To correct something that has gone wrong I'd imagine. Will be worth the wait though :)
Am guessing Britney 'Oops I did it again' is on repeat in the office!
Is it just me, or does every update get messed up? Are updates even tested before being rolled out?
There hasn't been one of these multi-mess-ups for a while to be fair (trying to be positive, though it's not really praise that we're surprised!). I knew it was due.
It REALLY messes me up now though timewise. Everything I did in the hour online is now down the drain as I'll be out when it comes back online. Barazek wasted, important yards going to run unbuffed etc.
Is it *really* worth the wait, fishy? Or is it another reason to stop paying BB real money?

There has been a hotfix on pretty much everything released recently. That is my recollection anyway.
And this seems to be a major one at 3 hours.
I started 1 day premium, so send me 1 to mail. Ty.
It would be nice to know what they're actually fixing, so we know if it might affect us

Something with special general skills not being applied in adventures, also not showing in star menu popup information? Anyhow... BB good luck! Let's hope for a clean fix of this issue :) Else... panic! RUN! lolz

Course it is, gen skills are huge update. Been waiting a long time for this. Another few hours wont make any difference. Bought days prem just before update myself so am pretty inconvenienced too. My own fault entirely, should've known better

Unless premium is extended by 24 hours, most people will lose more of their play time than they can make back on the extension. Many like to plan when they use this time limited item and many players have lost an entire day of play time already.
Perhaps in a future update, all remaining premium time will be converted into a token we can reapply? No-one loses that way.

Isn't it cheaper to develop a good product and do a single update compared to this mess with all the extra work BB has to put in today?

Im spending the downtime running some sims for the new skills. Im loving the changes its making to VLT at the moment, so yes a little inconvenience but I'll have something to test in a little while at least..

An extension isn't much use if you aren't available during the extension time...

specialists became tradeable. so you could send to a friend MMAs, veterans, green explorers and fast explorers, etc. basically every specialist except for champions of anteria

This thread of righteous moans is about the broken update, not the update itself to be fair. It really shouldn't be done like this. No-notice extra maintenance is very poor after the whole scheduled maintenance was marked complete on the home page.
It's a pretty good update though to be fair. Gives an extra dimension to fiddle with.
For BB to give at least a days notification that they need to fix this sort of problem would require BB to have a TARDIS.

Competence also works. Check things. Don't jump the gun. That kind of thing.
It's okay, they gave a low grade recruitment buff and 3 (three!) crystals to compensate so all is well now.

Maintenance was announced days ahead.
Some maintenance's are faster implemented than announced and some (like the one involving General skill tree) need additional time.
Do I hear moaning here (at Forum) if able to enter game 1h before announced?

Its not the announced maintenance, but the one that came with aprox 5 mins notice both in game and on the homepage. OK, we need a hot fix, fine, but 15 mins notice so its not right in the middle of a crucial block would help...30 mins notice would be better.
Going through a few of the game mechanics so that you know you have made a booboo before you tell us maintenence is complete would be truly - intelligent!

Which is something you are really good at - having to fix an update with a hotfix. Was it the last event that you had to put a hotfix on a hotfix?
