Now we all need a lot of manuscripts, tomes and codex, maybe its possible
that we can buy/make a 2nd bookbinder in 1 of the following updates.
Also because they are not tradeable.

Maybe a reward for hitting the lvl most quit at?

It is not going to happen, you can make books from RPH, new guaranteed loot system coming, If you want to say something about it, we need 2nd for another buff, like steaks and the rest of buffs.

Anyway, the issue is handling recipes.

TSO is a game that requires patience; why would any need to skill every specialists when a new feature is available?

Having same cap limit of (some) specialists as other servers with latest maintenance was a nice move :)

Somebody posted this in G1 the other day, taking into account that his / her population of explorers and generals will increase I'd say it wouldn't hurt to either have another RPH or Bookbinder.

Shall we then wish '2nd Barracks' as well? (Barracks, Elite Barracks and Combat Academy)
or 2nd PH/RPH??

So much else to implement than 2nd Bookbinder.

I would be happy at least with a queue for the bookbinder.

Those calculations are unbuffed and recipes are not noted at all which should be since they are part of the complete picture regardless of the level limit when it comes to the game design. Bookbinder and rarity max buffed for one day is around 15 manuscripts which for example means all 46 generals would have a maxed jog in about 10 days. There are plenty of ways to get bookbinder and provision house buffs.

Remember that their (BB) business is to also sell some gems which some people use to buy glue or quick complete books.

Anyways the chart example is also a bit unrealistic since there is no need to max skill that many and especially in a such linear way so lets halve the amount and time to, say 4 years. Then include the recipes which unbuffed roughly halve the time again to 2 years. Finally count some buffs, glue for 2x and rarity up to 4x division with barazeks. That gets us roughly to 1 year or less if we assume we buff "often". On top of that include all the event calendar books and other possible random sources. It does not take that long after all when BB does the math based on dedicated players (such as the player with 46 gens).

We really need a queue, why haven't you added one yet BB? It can't be that hard

Actually it is that hard, BB have said that the reason why we got recipes for the RPH was because of the problems with adding a queue to Bookbinder.

I guess it depends who is answering and where. I've seen different replies with various reasons but they all had the same end "message" that there will be no queue. Here is one old message from Germany by BB_Pandur which says roughly translated:

"A construction queue for the bookbinder is not planned and was canceled from the outset. The feature of the bookbinder is designed on purpose that no queue exists. The reasoning then and now: the production of books to represent something "special", daily picking up the book included. "

Why would it be any different to having a queue in any other building? If they can't add a queue give us another building that can have a queue, just make a prov house just for books

You can`t just add gen skill without cutting book production time...and queeue.Second bb would also help.

Thanks for the suggestion. For the immediate future, we like the idea of skills being a long-term goal. However, as time progresses, it's expected that features such as this will be looked at from time to time and adjustments made.

I'm not asking to make it faster, just add a queue, what's the point in using the glue buff that lasts 24 hours when a manuscript only take about 4 hours? Are we meant to get up in the night to put another book on?

if u really like this game you will get up just for the book in the book binder and get back to bed :D
maybe u should also send a geo for a granite search while getting up for the book binder :))))

The rarity and provision house can be queued, as can the barracks... surely it would not be too hard for the devs to apply the same thought process to adding a queue to the bookbinder ???

One thing I can think of is that the costs of the books change up to a point so when you are setting up the queue the mechanics would be hard and if you deleted one out of the middle of the queue then the costs would have to shift down through the rest of the queue and I can see that all getting quite messy. The other queues have stagnate costs [I]or[/] timing that effects the entire building.

then make the queue available/unlocked for each type of book after you reach the ceiling.(Manuscript queue after you make 100 of them, tome queue after you make 80 of them and codex queue after 60 of them).

Definitely +1 for the book queue, cmon you cannot expect from NORMAL ppl to get in the middle of the night to put some stupid book on production (even though some of the "special" kids suggested that here), because some of us have life, jobs and other things that would not allow us such luxury of getting up in the middle of the night....
