View Full Version : Logistics quest- -_- change it tyvm
"Invest at least 10 tomes in one of your combat generals".
Really? ... 5 or 6 would have been reasonable for the minor amount you even get from this quest, not to mention that I don't even want to use 10 tomes on a general. if I do I would have to either lose 50% of the books or pay a large crystal amount to get them back.
Seriously daft quest.
Change it tyvm.

Kinda takes care of the 10 tomes quest, mind you will prolly be a 10 codex quest after that.
.... again I do NOT WANT TO USE THAT MANY TOMES. Nor on the skills you like. I don't like, need nor want them. Being literally FORCED to ruin the way I want to set up MY generals is downright ridiculous. And no you cannot use 10 codexes on a single general. Completely impossible with the current locks on attaining the next "level" of skills. Also it is not cumalative aka 2 generals with 6 tomes still only counts as 3 for the quest. I also do not want to waste 10 tomes on basically any non-mma/mg/champ/drac. So using 10 tomes on generals I will never use (such as the tavern gen) is also a flat out no thank you. Using 10 tomes to then reclaim them 50% or for a rather large amount of gems: again no as well. Seriously 200 marble and 100 coal as the "reward" and then ask 10 tomes? Flat out not acceptable or reasonable to me.
Another quest that will remain forever in my quest book along with invest 10 tomes into an explorer.

Chill out man. I can't see anything wrong with this Quest. As easytarget says, you have a few options on using ten tomes in the skill tree. And it's not like you have to do the quest right now, I'm sure in the future you'll find a few skill builds that will work.
Let's keep it civil guys - some quests require big investments, but at the end of the day, it's your choice whether or not it's worth it to you.

Big investments with less then zero returns. That is ridiculous period. 200 marble and 100 coal? REALLY? No matter how you even try to sp[in it, it is nowhere near reasonable. 10 tomes in several generals for that amount? sure np. No loss no gain. But literally forcing people to waste books and/or gems if they want to get rid of that quest when we already need 4+ years to book the current generals we use? Sorry no. No just nonononononononono. No way to make it reasonable or acceptable. You fudged up BB period.
Thanks for the feedback Rhylian - I've forwarded it on.

Don't like the quest, don't do it. It won't hurt anything if it sits there forever. Nobody is forced to do it.

This is a quest aimed at players in the mid 30 levels, naturally the rewards will not be appealing to high level players. Completing it unlocks the Strategy Quest with it's own rewards. By refusing to do these Tome quests you are denying your self the reward given for using X Codex quests which no doubt you will find completed as soon as you get them.
I suspect the rewards make more sense for new players. Who presumably would come across this at lvl 30 or something.
The rewards could have been more logical, such as a codex or heap of resources for bookbinder, paper, nibs . . .
You raise a good point Doro about it being aimed at lower levels.

I'll pass that feedback on.
It could be made useful for lower levels and higher levels also if the requirement was, "Invest 10 tomes total in your generals" instead of, "Invest 10 tomes in one of your combat generals." You still have the requirement to produce 10 tomes and invest them, but this gives players a lot more flexibility about HOW to invest them.

And people in the mid 30s will have an even harder time getting books to put in wastefully.

I agree that the quest is a pain, can't see why it isn't invest 10 in your generals or geologists, but it isn't unique in the fact that it's highly geared towards a re-spec afterwards. There are some achievements like it too, just ignore the quest.
What does surprise me is there's no gem it through option, BB you'd probably earn more gems from it that way than hoping people will re-spec a geo or gen after completing it.
just noticed on wiki geo and gen are invest 10 tomes yet explorer is invest 5 is that correct ?

You can invest a maximum of 16 Tomes to a general. Based on my current understanding of the skills I may invest 12 Tomes in my General Log, the quest is only 10.

you maybe, but scores of people will not put 10 tomes into their general. Not to mention what you plan to do with your general has zero bearing on what a lvl 30 will do with his and how hard it is for them.

It's opposite sides of the same coin, some will some won't.
It's opposite sides of the same coin, some will some won't.
Except it is not "opposites".
It has zero bearing on the way you and those that do invest 10 tomes into your general.
You were going to do that anyway so whether it is decreased to 6 or changed so it is cumulative, so it absolutely doesn't change a thing at all for you.
It does however change the quest to allow more people to finish it.
Period.
