Dear bb,

Please fix your horrible useless badly programmed woefully underprovisioned non-redundant stupid chat server.

I understand you might be frustrated, but this sort of post doesn't really belong here. This isn't a place to vent, but a place to report bugs - with detailed information such as reproduction steps, screenshots etc.

Can you provide any of this information?

I have to say the game is more prone to total freezing lately for me, and my guild mates are moaning about it too, esp the chat server...

I have to refresh at least 3-4 times a day because of it in recent weeks, and no it's not a Shockwave reset thing either. I have the most up to date Chrome browser and have done all other obvious requests, ie flush DNS, clear cache etc

Do you go for long periods of time with the tab which contains TSO in the background, and not the focused window?

yes I do sometimes and yes this happens, but other times i may be totally active and it happens. Just now I'm in a Besieged adv and the game froze for no reason as i returned to home island

What does my head in as a non touch typist is the way chat stops inputting then you go to send message and find 3 words typed of a whole sentence

This happens at random times when playing, the game freezes, most chat tabs vanish (all but the info tab usually), info tab says "No chat server available" when unfreezed.

The other times the game freezes is usually when generals land back on home island from adventures. This used to be twice, 15mins after and 30 mins after but with skills it happens a lot more because of varying travel times on generals.

If I get a screenshot I'll post it.

I use firefox and chrome - on windows and linux - only on linux/firefox I have many chat resets - the other 3 combinations is most of time without any problems.

TSO in latest Linux Firefox (54.0 for Manjaro 64-bit) is not working that well for me, but do in Pale Moon (27.3.0).

Not only do chat increase the usage of CPU resources but will also reload if it would lose connection to server for too long time, so could be hard to tell when a chat reload is a cause or when it's an effect.

That's an old issue.
For me it's been worse after all those "Improvements to reduce the frequency of locked zones." that followed the fix of "overlapping generals"-bug.

and on and on and on - its getting to the stage I'm about to give up

Level 70 player and seriously annoyed enough to walk away for a few months until BB sort it

*Had to re-log time and time again to just finish this adv.

Ok, tried 2 other flash games when tso was lagging on chat, freezing etc, after it started not before. On both of those chat worked fine, was only tso with the issue.

this problem isnt worth losing your tempers over, simple thing is BB use flash, they know its not good for a game thats pushing the packets of this magnitude threw, said millions of times, but always same rubbish answers, look else where, THB given up telling them what they know and dont wana fix cos of the money involved reprogramming database ect
yes game freezes, flash is a pain,but were stuck with it forever cos BB want to take and not give, Remember BB are a business primary to make money

I finally managed to catch a screenshot of "no chat server available".

This was probably due to network maintenance this morning but this is exactly what my original grounds for posting looks like.

Forum attachments don't seem to work so well, here is the same image on imgur. Note the chat window with "no chat server available", missing all but info tab and spinning thing with "connecting to chat server" overlay. The rest of the game is typically frozen when this happens, not even buff animations running.
