Since this evening (around 17:30 CEST) I'm unable to log in to the game. After attempting to log in, immediatly a pop-under shows, indicating "sorry, an error occured. please refresh the page and try again".
This occurs from both FF and Chrome on my desktop using my local network, and puffin browser (flash browser for android) from my cellphone using mobile data

same here, weird thing I can teamview to my pc in work and that logs in fine

My brother can't log in but I can from the same house, he gets the same error as Hellknightktt, this is wierd

A few issues... Every time they change something, they have to apply a hotfix. Is the new feature of "https://" that caused the problem ? I had hoped that the next time we encountered troubles after an event (the marvelous Black Knight event for example ! or update would have been around half october, a few hours after the launch of the Halloween event... Followed up, quite shortly, by the failure of the Christmas event in december.
Sadly, i was wrong !

This game is slowly becoming a real mess.

And the way they treat the players is even from a lower level:
"sorry, an error occured. please refresh the page and try again"

and again, and again... you are not even able to log in on the forum properly. no information, no help, no clues, nothing !
players are only good for spending money on gems.

Can beat that, can login on newfoundland but not on northisle. If I try Northisle I get the "sorry, an error occured. please refresh the page and try again" message, here I log staraight in - same computer.

Test server gives same mesage.

For over 3 hours now I'm getting the same message as the others here: looks like I'll be missing my guild quest today :(

I can't get onto settlers or the forum (get proxy tunnel errors when trying the forum) from my laptop but from ipad sitting on same connection can get onto forum.

Have been logging onto settlers online everybday since the https change with no problem until now.

I have 2 entirely different internet connections and tried both: neither of them works. But they still come from the same country, so I guess that might be the problem.

Same problem here too. I've tried 2 different PC's in different locations / networks and no luck.

Have now managed to log a ticket with support so hopefully there'll be some feedback soon.

I'm having the same problem - I had to reset my password to be able to log in here to the forum, but I still can't log in the game...

Settlers change into HTTPS and Uplay protested by retracting their services :)

Yes thanks Hellknightktt, I'm one who can't access forum if I'm not in game and can only read, so without players like you sharing log in fails, I'm left wondering if its just me and my machine. ( After all these years of cleaners unplugging the server after work hours, you would think I would know better ! ) Spent an hour doing all the usual things and getting nowhere thinking it may be something to do with the https change. BB please change message from `error on page. Please refresh and try again' to ` We have messed up again, the fault is ours, totally ours, don't change the settings on your end as you still won't get through. Try again in a couple of hours to see if we care enough to recognise the fact and have rectified it....and then every hour after that just to quantify just how much we really care. We value your custom * chuckle, we really do'

Hello, folks - thank you for the reports! The issue was a Uplay outage which affected our login servers. This has now since been resolved!
