Assinged units issue

So after returning from an adventure I checked the settlers icon & it says I have 156 assigned units yet no units are assigned to any of my four generals.

Is there a way to fix this?

have you checked they are not coming back from adventure on their own? ie not on a general, so will be under a separate greyed out icon in star menu. this takes 100 minutes from adventure end.
