Flanking

simple question for which I have not found the answer on this forum. What does "flanking" ability do ? How it behave during the fight ?

Flanking goes around the front line and attacks weaker troops at the back.

The description in game is more confusing than informative though. Unfortunately a lot of things in game are not easy to understand because of badly worded descriptions.

- the order of units being attacked is based on their HP and not damage
- accross multiple types of units with same HP the order is always the same :

bowmen before longbowmen before crossbowmen
militia before cannoneers
knights before besiegers
