View Full Version : Remove the Charming g + Lovely ex from star menu

i did not buy them from the event becouse they look incredible UGLY
i did not wanted them
i do not want look at them when i open my star menu every time

i accepted all my mail in game , not knowing they are part of a gift.

PLEASE remove the Charming Geologist and Lovely Explorer from my star menu.

lovely explorer is good cause it gives u extra explorers to find treasure. As for charming he is totaly useless. just a basic tavern geo that takes too long to find anything.
Used him to find granite when i lvled up. took him 8 hrs. only took stone cold 3 hrs for the same search.

U can never have too many explorers the more the merrier especially for events. But were getting too many geo's most of which sit around doing nothing most of the time.

Charming is the only geo that finds fast deposits for the iron and for the most expensive mines in the game so he is far from being useless, especially when used with industrial mines. If endless iron mine ever gets added he will be crucial one to have.

I found out that I can sent them to look for granite - then they are gone for 8 hours. I appreciate the gift, and I was stupid enough to get one - but besides that - I am not charmed and feel the need to put on sun glasses when I look in the star - they look very pink to me ( I hate pink) - so would appreciate a skin or something so I don't burn my eyes when I look in the star :-D.
Well don't really like to look at him agreed- but there is bigger problems in this game :p

In his current form the charming geo is useless. There is a separate topic about it.

A great many have in the past asked for the same thing with both the PvP Marshall's and MoD's, they have even asked for removal of Tavern NPC's. looks like you have joined a long queue, hope you brought a packed lunch.

i like the charming geo, its good to see that bb are a progressive company keeping up with the times. there's nothing wrong with seeing a man presenting himself as a woman imo

thats not the problem
nobody cares about that

they BOTH pink, BOTH look ugly, and not fitting the style/art of the game

the problem is we should have the Option to remove the unvanted characters from star menu that we are not planing on using
like the Marshalls for example, i would love to see them gone too,
newer gonna use them and they just take up place in the alredy crowded Star menu

Well post a suggestion in the appropriate section of the forums (as a general improvement). I however think it will be rejected as giving players the option to delete explorers/geo's/generals will lead to a lot more problems than the current situation (and hence a lot more interactions with support)

If you want personal attention to your problem, the route to go is filing a ticket with support with your request and wait on the response. Individual requests on forums usually get ignored (about 99% of the time i guess :P)

how about a building that is like a prison / storehouse where we can put them so they are out of sight (NOT in star menu anymore)

An even better suggestion was made long time a go. No one use the tavern, where we hired the unwanted marshals, because we had a quest that told us to do so, and we did not know what we was doing yet. We could just have an option to "unhire" or dismiss the unwanted workforce again. The there could be an option to hire again at a higher price in case we had regrets. I am pretty sure that someone suggested this a very very long time ago. I am sure that the very pink geo could have a nice time trying to charm someone there.

This kind of answer is the kind of answer that will later on if the game changes again and find uses for them will make people raise hell for ways to get them back.

I understand people don't like them, i don't like many other things, that does not mean i want to remove them from the game. I play the game almost since it's release long long years ago, and the game keeps changing many things that were useful stopped being many that weren't started to be.

People nowdays want everything their way... start asking for stuff that's important bug fixes, performance optimisations, and stop whinning about not liking the look of a character, they are on your star hidden most times, you don't have to look at them to long.

Besides in an age where events depend heavly on explorers saying 1 is not useful is not reasonable. The Geologist is kinda limited in uses specially for the titanium and saltpeter mines, but when i'm looking for my iron mines 1 more geo specialized in it that can make it mine faster is not the worst thing around.

Seems a bit drastic asking for an option to delete them, what happens when people make mistakes and more work is needed for undeleting stuff too?

It's the kind of thing that more improvements to the star menu could fix. If you could select stuff as being "favourite" and then have a tick box to only show favourite then it would work well for filtering out a lot of stuff people don't need to see in their star menu.

I really like this idea of putting unused guys in the Tavern to hang out and enjoy fine dining (drinking) with company.

I hardly ever look for titanium or salt mines. Mainly because I have loads of refills for both from doing the higher level adventures. For me the Charming Geo is ace as when fully skilled I can find new fast iron, salt and titanium deposits that produce twice as fast as usual. I am slowly replacing all my titanium and salt mines with fast industrial ones - so the 2 of them (1 bought and 1 free) is a very welcome addition.

They do tend to make the conscientious geos redundant but thats evolution for you.

They are a big thumbs up from me.


As for the comments that they take to long to find granite. I like that some of my geos are unskilled or less skilled than others to keep them slow. That way at the end of the day when all granite mines are still with resources, I can send out slower geos to find the granite mines and then be happy knowing that 4 or 5 hours later when a quarry is emptied, they rediscover it and it is refilled - means theres less time my masons spend idling.
