View Full Version : Summer event on test server
Seems the footie events are back and looking at it is loads of nice stuff to have ...for the first time as i am a hardcore when it comes to events i always get everything i want as i work my legs off...but tis year with what balls you do get from adventures is no way ...and yes i know you cant always get everything but you should be able to if you put the effort in just the event rewards on adv are never x2 on the summer events and they aint that great to start with
anyway did notice some other its too ie new buff similar to the rain of arrows but twice as strong also in the black market the joyous bundle for 3999 gems well worth the cost with all the goodies you get in that
You mean lot of new bugs to have :p - would prefer less and that it is working.
You mean lot of new bugs to have :p - would prefer less and that it is working.
most likely
looking at last years footie event it took about 10k footballs to get all that was on offer and that was hard enough cause of the lets not kid ourselves terrible loot in adventures we need as much this year if not more then we did for the easter event and with a 10th of the loot available you need between 50k-70k balls to grab everything even grabbing half of whats on offer is impossible unless you trade alot and to do that will mean alot of players have give up the idea they will get anything so will try to profit as best as they can...
its great increasing what we can get its not so great increases existing prices or by limiting how we can gain event resources leaving most the only option yet again to buy gems no doubt will be a couple of offers during the event they seem to come every two weeks nowadays

One could almost be inclined to believe they were trying to get people to buy gems to get the items. Nah,, that surely cannot be true.

Possibilities to earn footballs vs cost of all the items is pure insanity.
Always got all the limited (untradeable) items and promised once im not able to keep up im leaving.
Seems theres not even any point to show up for this event.

yeah seems all goes to that way BB Alex think we gonna spend more and more money now on this game?Prices are insane for items, summer, to sit 24h per day and play for 3 weeks lol. Dont think so about that. All this means one, money and more money to buy gems if u want anything good or more from events.GL with near end of this game.
btw drops from adv are very low to accomplish anything is impossible this time.Go and check on test server/Big one NO!

And adventure outlaws drop 11 ball which is the highest.. apart from high level ventures...
Is this a joke ?
the point i was making its great adding new stuff love it but when you have little to no hope f getting the items then why try...physically there is no way you can do enough adventures to come even close with currant amounts you get ie outlaws giving 11 balls even with prem that 17 balls per map thats 900 plus of them just for the specialists let alone the buildings
And adventure outlaws drop 11 ball which is the highest.. apart from high level ventures...

They just want you to pay with gems,- wonder if they know how hard it is to buy them :-D
At least most of it is not new - so unless they introduce new bugs in some of the old stuff,- it might even be bug free.
But you need to do 181 outlaw just to get the demolition crew :-D - think I am going to ignore this event and go do some work in my garden.
I know what you mean. It's like walking into a car showroom and wanting to buy every car they have BUT you don't have enough money. So you can only buy the car you need and not every car you want.
Just be grateful that BB have given us more options of things to obtain and not just a repeat of previous events. We have the old stuff that new players will want and new stuff that the older players will want.
TBH I got everything I wanted from the Easter event and only did 3 adventures, most of my eggs came from explorers, so no doubt this event will be the same, didn’t spend any gems
Personally I was looking forward to the big break from Easter to Halloween that only comes in a non football tournament year, since Halloween its been non stop events which seems to indicate the company is trying to get as much as it can before it ends the game much similar to Anno online.
The ball drops are laughable atm, bordering on corruption, if this event is not a kick in the face of players then I don't know what is!

Agreed... i can understand wanting us to make choices but when prespectives to get anything decent are so low might as well not even bother wth it. I understand the need for gems, but there is a reason the game is losing players faster and faster...

well in this case you cant even buy a car - but you have to pay just to be in the showroom and have a look. Then settle for the wheelbarrow you can get at the junk dealer next door.
Would be more honest of BB just to put the stuff in the merchant for gems at those rates. Who is going to do 182 Outlaws to get a demolition crew?
Of course its a marketing ploy ...we get a gem happy hour roughly ever two or so weeks now used to be months apart ...they add more and more stuff to events and increase the prices of existing stuff but limit the methods you can gain the ingame resource... they know the bored players who are used to getting everything will still try to get everything ..so will either reach for a card or will use up the gems they been hoarding from gempits..
or they will trade and get the lower levels who dont have much and dont care for events but need other stuff to work and trade ..
its smart but you get to a point your greed takes over bb just because bit like the theme with buildings the more we have the less cooldown time there is they use the same method with players when there was loads the overall costs was divided by them hence prices were lower as that player base grows smaller then the remaining guys have to take on the burden of cost

As I see the adventures drop is up to 8 times lower for this one. I got everything I wanted in Easter event, but I had to play all day long, like crazy and it was the most difficult event since I play. But this one? This one is impossible. I feel angry when i see these numbers and the greediness got out of control. It will not make me spend money, but the opposite.
For only ONE building you need to do 800 small adventures???? This means like 40 adventures a day for ONE building, rofl!!! BB needs some second grade math skills, really...
Did you lot even stop and think that it's not just what is being said but also who is doing the saying what counts. You lot are shooting yourselves in the foot.
I suspect when some people say they want everything, they just mean all the stuff they have an interest in rather than the whole event category inventory. Some of the lower level buildings and old geos/generals are no longer worth buying for players who have been around for a long time as they do not get used. They are no use to new players either though as they are priced too high and buying one would reduce your chances of getting one of the newer better versions.
The issue is the way the scales have gradually changed from:
Being able to get everything in a week with little effort.
Being able to get everything during the event with little effort.
Being able to get everything during the event with tons of effort.
Being able to get almost everything during the event with tons of effort.
Being able to get some of whats on offer with tons of effort.
Being able to get little of whats on offer with tons of effort.
and eventually it will become
Only managing to get one thing with tons of effort.
Not managing to get anything useful no matter how much effort.
They should be reducing the prices on older stuff which is not useful anymore, things like watermills/silos/200 generals/vet generals, but with the way the floating residence price was increased despite a newer floating residence being added is a sign they might be planning to hike the prices on everything.
It's up to the developers how they want to run the game, but a lot of the player base has likely stuck around due to this not being one of those pay to win games, up until recently everything was attainable with effort without having to buy huge amounts of gems.

I'm not really in a position to comment on this - i't's only been three hours since I logged into the test server, and I'm still waiting to get to my island

Yes - I see you get the picture.
There is just that - who will bother to put in a lot of effort when we get to being able to get some or one thing with a ton of effort?
Already the number of players are dropping rapidly and many are only playing for events. It is not us who try to make BB see sense who are shooting ourselves in the foot - it is BB.

No it's not a joke, it's a failure ask certain questions about the source of the information. Simply put the adventure drops listed on the first few days after the event appears on test are the drops from a previous event and not the current one. As that source gathers information on the current drops the list is revised, quite often the revision continues into the first week of the event on the live servers.

outlaws does drop 11 or 18 i played on the test server plus a few other adventures the drops was the same as listed last year
Looking at the prices ............. and drops ............ not even sure I want to play this game. It's getting too much. Keep events playable. Don't turn it into a too obvious money grab. This is miles away from the good game TSO once used to be.
Please watch the language on the forums
I get the feeling many here forget that the summer event is live on the TEST server. And that everything can be subject to change.
Give feedback, but don't jump to conclusions yet.

I get the feeling many here forget that on previous events on TEST, BB don't care about what players have said.. And event come in LIVE server with already known bugs...

Yes I saw that too but didnt want to sound too negative and the 8 times I think comes from no x2 bonus on the summer event.
Did you lot even stop and think that it's not just what is being said but also who is doing the saying what counts. You lot are shooting yourselves in the foot.
Yes I did think to stay quiet and just leave. Clearly these prices and drops are a management decision (no developer can get them this wrong as a balancing decision) and no amount of screaming is going to get them to the acceptable levels we are used to. Still I thought it not fair to abandon my fellow players and try one last time to get a fairer deal.
I guess best we can get is x2 bonuses and some coop bonuses and maybe if the sound really raises the roof like 10% reduction of new item prizes. Still nowhere near the very hard Easter event and light years away from what we are used to but still something right?
For me the preferred option now is to leave this game so nothing I say can be shooting myself in the foot. Management clearly thinks this is the endgame and vast majority of the players will not stick around for whatever happens after flash support ends. This in turn will mean closing down the game. Interesting thing in this are the developers. I wonder who are they trying to kid here? Us or themselves. Management decisions like these will mean game will close down anyway even if there is a viable option to keep playing after the "end of flash". And since they have announced they only know flash where will they get a new job?

This old stuff vs new stuff might apply to halloween and easter but it does not apply to summer event and probably xmas. Majority of the stuff is new and even old stuff is still very useful (for ex Lucky explorer).
Problem is new stuff is unrealistically priced and the earning possibilities are from the time it cost you 10+ times less to buy "everything" in the event shop. And to clarify: no I dont think a player should be able to buy everything (but if you go full robot and play 10h a day whole event it should be possible).

I have just 1 suggestion about incoming football event. I see many flags will be in merchant, but try to check all the countries from which players are... for me Slovenia, please. I think many of the players will agree with me (also those, who won't comment here). If not this year, try to do for next year. Many thx.
M
Well, i came back from a break, to just get in the easter event, and now with the football event prospects it's clear what is the BB objective.
Milk as much as possible until imminent doom, the thing i really like on TSO was the possibility of by putting a LOT you could get everything, even as a new player, at the same time that older players get a easier time due to already had worked hard in the past.
Sadly to see it happen, but it won't be the first game to do it, and won't be the last.
