Questions about playing on Steam

I have been playing on browser for years with Facebook login. I wonder if there is a way I can play the same account in steam. Anyone know anything about this?

P.S. I am using a mac, so download the client isn't really an option for me : /

steam uses download client to.
i also use mac, but have windows machine also

There is no way to move account *to* Steam. And as mentioned Steam uses a version of the downloadclient too.

Rare instances they have moved people from Steam to normal due to severe account corruption issues.

but on Imac i use new edge chromium with great pleasure.never any problems or lag
