Event Window greyed out

Hi all, my event window is greyed out and I've tried the suggestions in thread below;

It's greyed out as there are no events currently running.

When I send out a geologist, for example, wouldn't the results be displayed in the events window ? I have never seen any events, it is always greyed out.

No the event window is used for events to find out the results of geos etc look in the news tab where you chat
