Storm Recovery

I did Storm Recovery and stuck rigidly to the guide. I used all shovels and all poisons. As soon as I placed the first Stinky Potion the fail tab came up. I carried on placing the rest including the composters and had none left at the end. After all the buffs were placed I went back to my island and when I returned, now both the Stinky potion and Composters showed fail conditions. I took a screenshot to show I have none left.
I don't need another addy, I don't need my resources back-although that would be nice.
I need to know if I do the addy again it won't fail!

Did you wait with placing the stinky potion until you had produced all stinky potions and decomposer buffs as per the Preparations quest?

Yes, I always follow the wiki guide, I think that as Areop-Enap suggested I might have been a bit quick though. I'm glad I know where I went wrong.

Only clicking buffs on righthand side and it works all time no idea not using poison last and such

after making the 2x 11 buffs you need to first complete the quest else you will fail that quest. After completing the quest u get a new one to use them and the other bufs to clear the houses

follow the wiki guide and you cannot loose

Best advice is to wait for every quest section to finish, stinky potions and decomposer in particular so it will fail if you start placing before you clear the quest for making them
